Pop-up Stopper

Hi,

I found this nice free program at www.panicware.com which supposed to stop the pop-up windows during browsing. It was working for me awhile back but now occasionally it works but most other times it doesn't. I'm running this program on Windows XP. Any suggestion to fix this problem is appreciated.

I have that....in WinXP...yeah....it's not a bug...is you version 2.6 ?

Ever heard of KillAd? This simple 42kb file kills *any* window that comes up. Easy-double click to enable, double click to disable--tada. Or hold down the CTRL key while you want some window to come up.

No installation required, just unzip and run.

As long as this thread does not go to warez, I'm OK with this! Also, I'm not mistaken this time! It's also a good weapon against ***** sites where they have too many porn pop-ups. Like doesn't the Internet already have too much nonsense? :D

KillAd doesn't work! I tried it in both IE 6 and Netscape 6.1 and I'm still getting those damned pop-ups! :mad:

I've used it in IE 4 through 6, Opera, and Netscape (v.?)

try this:

right click killAd

click "terminator mode"

make sure there is a red X in the box..

now go to the most pop-upped site you know.

(to disable temporatily hold down CTRL or double click the red X)

saw a brilliant thing in a linux magazine once, it stops all ads on webpages. dunno how but they did a test with theregister.co.uk and all the adverts were gone, if anyone knows what i'm on about please give me a shout.
