List Your Overclocks..

ok... decided to get a low voltage barton.. but first i have to sell my XP1700+ and 2000+.. the 2000+ is a Thorton modded @ Barton (so unlocked cache L2).. but it will only do 2.2Ghz max.. well it's not bad for a 65 euro chip.. it does 2.2 so in fact it's a 3200+

but now the XP1700+.. i totally forgot about it.. so today i've put it in my pc to test.. before i sell it.. it's a pain in the a55 to put another cpu.. with the SP-97  .. takes like 20 to 30 min to get everything out etc etc........ but anyway.. after i finally did it.. i got this..

remember. the 1700+ runs @ 133*11=1463Mhz default.... the pic speaks for itself

i couldn't get it higher.. not even with 1.9V... i didn't want to try higher voltage cause im going to sell it so it must work :shifty:

well i see you have a 2.6C their... you should be kicked for not getting it higher  j/k

the 2.6C's also overclock nice.. hell the whole C series op de P4's overclocks nicely  .. so make sure you got some proper cooling and ram and go overclock some more

I'm on a P4 1.3 GHz (Dell PC, everything on the computer is customized by me EXCEPT the cpu/mobo) I was wondering exactly what it takes to overclock, there's no way to do it in my BIOS so I always just assumed it was impossible as I was on a dell (proprietary) pc....can anybody explain to me if it's possible? thanks

nope, buy a new 2.6c, motherboard case and some new ram. you can get all of that for under $400

was bored these days so i've been playing a lot on this pc..

today i wanted to check my max memory speed.. well first of all i have 1 stick of 512MB Corsair XMS3200C2PT.. default speed is 200FSB @ 2-3-3-6.. well that is what corsair says on this page: http://www.corsairmemory.com/corsair/xms.html

i already knew that it was capable of running 2-2-2-11 @ 2.9 @ 200FSB. today i was looking around that corsair site and saw the XMS3500 that runs @ 217FSB @ 2-3-3-7.. so i decided to try that on my ram.. and voila! DDR433 @ 2.9V @ 2-3-3-7.. i don't know if it's capable of lower timings.. but im pretty happy now.. the max of these corsair xms3200c2 is about 220FSB (saw that in most reviews).. so im pretty happy with that

here's a pic for your pleasure  .. now it's time to find the cpu's max... damn gonna need to update the sig again :shifty: :pinch:

ATI Radeon 9800Pro 128

Core: 420

RAM: 738

I've got more room to go! :woot:

Do all Radeon 9800 Pro 128s have the same stock clocks? Also, what are those values.

I just wanna add another dimension, post an OC and post the Stock Clocks, so newbies (I hope i'm not the only one) like myself can actually see the difference.

most 9800 pros are 380 core and 650 memory i think

my 9800 non pro is 324 core and 580 mem stock, but i have had it overclocked to 400 core and 690 mem with no problem with the vga silencer. i don't think i would run it for long periods that high though.

here's an update on my badass OC :D

2800 Athlon XP 2.08ghz 333FSB @ 2.27ghz 433FSB

Kingston HyperX PC3500 1GIG CAS 2-3-3-7 @ CAS 2-3-2-6

MyCrazyOC.JPG

On that chart you can see I'm beating the 3200 Athlon XP by a margin.

I'm rated at the 3400 level in most programs.

Only three of Intel CPU beat mine according to SiSoft Sandra 2004.

That one listed is the top one. Intel does pretty good.

Athlon64 kicks it's ass though..

I list the 2800 and 3000 cause my cpu is the 2800 and

it is recognized by Windows as the 3000 due to the

10.5 multiplier.

ages, so i pushed it a little more :p

wow man.. nice stepping you must have.. what stepping do you have actually? also are you still using stock cooling and what are your temps

im rendering a small anim at the moment, i'll check the stepping after its finishe;);)

i can tell you it runs at 40 idle and 47 under full load at 2.45ghz.

the cooling is a thermaltake silentboost k8.... not too good, but quiet enough so i can think at the same tim:p:p

Edit: i forgot to tell you, no voltage increase, its at 1.55v
