yeah, rather it's the incompatibility with software I routinely use, and not being able to install XP...and the wierd thing I saw in the bios, as well as the weird reboots I encountered. That's when I wasn't OCing it. In all, it was just too slow..

[edit] I just changed my RMA order, I'm getting the 3500 amd 64 and getting a replacement for the mobo...so we'll se how that goes. Now the thing is wether to get the Newcastle core or the Winchester...

I was hitting 50C Idle with WC, 55C Load... So I even went back to my sig specs, just cause to me it really doesn't appear worth it. I'm really getting away from OCing to max things out. I just do it for fun sometimes...I'm just glad to see this thing hitting 2.7ghz again. I could only do it on a 400FSB before..so it is an improvement..

I got a Sempron 2400+ (1.66Ghz) recently.

System boots fine at 2800+ (2Ghz) speeds but CPU stress tests freeze the computer. Probably needs a VCore change. At the moment I have a ****ty PSU until the one I ordered gets here this week.

I settled for 2600+ speeds. Just bumped up FSB. Temps are at 40?c during high load.

This is my first overclock by the way:pp
