Samoa
He sent it back.. software /hardware problems he couldnt solve :( 584845517 yeah, rather it's the incompatibility with software I routinely use, and not being able to install XP...and the wierd thing I saw in the bios, as well as the weird reboots I encountered. That's when I wasn't OCing it. In all, it was just too slow.. [edit] I just changed my RMA order, I'm getting the 3500 amd 64 and getting a replacement for the mobo...so we'll se how that goes. Now the thing is wether to get the Newcastle core or the Winchester... Edited November 2, 2004 by Samoa Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/50448-list-your-overclocks/page/33/#findComment-584847034 Share on other sites
enigma-penguin Veteran Posted November 2, 2004 Veteran Share Posted November 2, 2004 Congrats on the rma change man, definatly a good choice. If you can get one go for the Winchester core, it'll probably do you better than a newcastle with overclocking. Samoa
I'm still debating, I'm thinking I don't need all that speed and performance to browse the internet. I'm leaning back towards my current system as it does me quite nicely...just was getting that bug again after seeing Ecander's post... :pinch: Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/50448-list-your-overclocks/page/33/#findComment-584847775 Share on other sites

Samoa
Wow, I must say thats impressive for a M-2600+ what temps are u running under load with your water cooling? 584852847 I was hitting 50C Idle with WC, 55C Load... So I even went back to my sig specs, just cause to me it really doesn't appear worth it. I'm really getting away from OCing to max things out. I just do it for fun sometimes...I'm just glad to see this thing hitting 2.7ghz again. I could only do it on a 400FSB before..so it is an improvement.. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/50448-list-your-overclocks/page/33/#findComment-584861678 Share on other sites

SIG
I got a Sempron 2400+ (1.66Ghz) recently. System boots fine at 2800+ (2Ghz) speeds but CPU stress tests freeze the computer. Probably needs a VCore change. At the moment I have a ****ty PSU until the one I ordered gets here this week. I settled for 2600+ speeds. Just bumped up FSB. Temps are at 40?c during high load. This is my first overclock by the way:pp Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/50448-list-your-overclocks/page/33/#findComment-584880373 Share on other sites
coolmonk
Newly upgraded PC. See sig for specs. [Edit] This is all accomplished with air cooling. My PC sits next to the window so fresh cool air is blowing onto it (the case side is left open).
