List Your Overclocks..

The last thing I OC'd was a Cel 300A to 450.

I don't overclock anymore. I'm not a hard core gammer, I"m an old fart

who likes a nice stable system that I don't have to have a zillion fans,

screw around with the memory settings or anything else to make it run.

I slap in an intel mobo, vid card, memory, tv tuner and turn it on, install

everything and leave it alone.

The last upgrade I did was when I swapped out my 1.8 P4 to a 2.66 P4,

which also required a new pwr supply, since the system hadn't been

turned off in over a year (it's on a UPS).

I'll leave the OC'ing to all you young whipper-snappers ;)

:alien:

Five case fans and a heatsink fan that makes my spacebar rattle :( I can here my desk humming when I go in my basement :woot: . Kinda sux lol.

That's hectic man!! I'm going to get liquid cooling in my new comp... nice and quiet :)

The worst part of it all is that the loudest fan in my rig is the one on my processor (5500 rpm's). The rest are 80mm antec silent fans. I 've been thinking about watercooling here lately but the idea of having water in a pc scares me a little. I probably will give watercooling a shot but sata raid and a new gfx card are next on my pc wish list.

THIS JUST IN!!!! My pc is the worlds largest smokeless ashtray LOL

woohoo go you! finally did it!:laugh:gh:

anychance of getting it higher?

and what are your temps and other crap?.:shifty:fty:

actually no, I have a 1.85v with DDR @ 2.8, an temps are pretty low, bios says cpu is 45C, chipset 38C. my laser thermometer shows all over the board the temps range 30-34C, cpu being 34, chipset 32.

But more radical stuff needs to be done to get a stable OC higher than 2.4ghz. I thing I could pull just a tad more, but probably that TicTac bios and a MAthlonXP would be the ticket;);)

I think I could drop the Vcore and DDR voldtage some too, I might have it a little higher than necessary.

currently 2800 Athlon XP @ 2.4ghz 400FSB :D

:(

Get to work man, you should be at 2.4 and like 430-450fsb lol :p

You should be able to use that bios (which should let you use 10 and 10.5 multiplier) I posted but if not, atleast update your SATA drivers.

I'll give it a look. I was at 11 multiplier seeing how high I could take it. got 2.4ghz 438FSB, just not very stable. Nforce2 has some problems with high FSB it seems. So that's why I am currently doing 400FSB. ;)

2800 Athlon XP @ 2.4ghz 440FSB :D

DDR still at 2-3-2-6, nice an fast (Y)

Temps still under 40C according to my laser thermometer. Bios says 45C/38C for cpu/chipset.

jesus man... is that a barton core?

I'm running that processer and have to stop at 2.2ghz or things get ugly

What sort of cooling are you using - im just using starndard sink/fan pack

It is indeed. Unlocked. I have a Vantec Aeroflow VA-C7040, and two case fans, one in the rear and one in the center blowing on the chipset/ddr/video card/cpu. It does pretty damn good. I don't have good airflow now, this NF7 puts things too close to the HD...but all is good. :D

Coach Potato, you can OC that 2600 with the right mobo and DDR. (Y)

*I've had my Vantec Aeroflow for over a year with no problems related to the fan, btw.
