sundayx Veteran Posted November 18, 2006 Veteran Share Posted November 18, 2006 A couple years ago i came about this hotmail concept. i dug this up from my file archives, and it just amazes me how beautiful and clean the interface is. there are obvious similarities between this and the current live mail (beta), but i feel the excessive use of the gradient and "vista" logo is.... simply put, i hate it. its everywhere, live, live spaces, live this live that, and imo its not good to use anyways, the links are not much useful as it brings about other live services only. perhaps this is a user mockup, please correct me if it is, but i just had to say it when i found this jpg, it is much, much better than what live mail looks right now, and i hope something changes before its public. this is not a stab at the live mail function or the technical aspect, just how it looks and feels and the overall interface. your opinions? Daniel Tablas Posted November 21, 2006 Share Posted November 21, 2006 Yeah I remember those, they were Wave 11 concepts. They got leaked in like November of 2005 or something. The new wave 11 is practically Live Mail, you can see some similiarities and it looks like it's loosely base on it. Thing thing that I like about it is that the top ad is very intergrated with the design, the the display pics on contacts. Regarding the Mail comp - other than the rounded edges on the banners I'd say it looks pretty much the same as the current Live Mail except that Live Mail has an obvious Windows Live feel to it and is a bit more refined.
