Chad
I disagree with the Iowa beating OSU comments. I think OSU would win at home against Iowa, maybe struggle on the road against them. But with Clarrett 100 percent, Iowa would struggle to contain him. Remember that OSU is in the top 5 for run defense and Krenzel is the best QB that OSU has had in years. I hated how people on www.fark.com would lash out saying Iowa would kill OSU. Iowa should have beaten ISU earlier this year. UConn crushed ISU and UConn is a pretty bad squad. All this negativism against OSU is due to the fact that they've barely squeaked by in the past few games. But remember, excessive scoring is not rated on the BCS charts. No way OSU beats Iowa. They are just playing too well. I'm not really sold on OSU being a top 10 team either. Granted they have beat who they needed to beat, but barely. Iowa has the number 2 run defense, and they'd take care of clarrett. Since OSU's passing game is next to nothing, they are a pretty one dimensional team. I really think anyone who plays OSU in the Fiest Bowl (Miami, Okla, Iowa) will pretty much take care of business. Score prediction: If Iowa or Miami: at least 34 or if Okla: at least 24 and then osu: 10 (if even that) Connecticut is a better team than you think. And isu was a totally different team 8 weeks ago. They were playing out of their asses back then. They've crashed back down to reality recently. BroChaos Veteran Posted November 26, 2002 Veteran Share Posted November 26, 2002 well i'm gonna call it right now. iowa vs. OSU for the fiesta bowl. :D this would settle everything, and would be perfectly fitting, since they didn't play in the regular season. i think OSU/Iowa would be good game. they are both top notch teams who know how to win. krenzel isn't that bad of a qb. he only passes the ball 10-15 times a game, but he completes basically 100% of them. so he'll still hurt you for 150-200 yards. it's gonna happen... DigitalDoc
hahahahahahahawait. hahahaha. please, please show some proof. Big Ten: OSU #2 Iowa #3 Penn State #12 Michigan #14 Big East: Miami #1 Pittsburgh #18 Virginia Tech #19 West Virginia #21 you do the math. I'd check the Big East's strenght of schedule, but they didn't make it in the BCS. true. having 2 top 10 teams in the same conference is both rare and dominating. Big 10 is the best conference in the ncaa this season. hands down. Hello big 12 has 3 in the top ten. OU 4 Kansas state 8 Texas 10 Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/52000-osu/page/2/#findComment-521023 Share on other sites

BroChaos Veteran Posted November 27, 2002 Veteran Share Posted November 27, 2002 if you avarage out the top four teams for big 10, big 12, big east, the big 10 is still the best :p but that's getting pretty nitpicky. however, it's great and all that you have 3 teams in the top 10. big 10 has 2 teams in the top 3. that's what matters. and to call the big 10 a week conference just has no merit whatsoever.
