Wow just five errors to HTML 4.01 Trans. That's a record for Microsoft! http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&am...%2Fdefault.aspx

CSS is awful as usual though... http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validat...%2Fdefault.aspx

I like the design a lot.

Does it look good? Yes (in my opinion).

Does it work? Yes (at least for me and bugs can always be fixed).

Could I and the majority of people possibly care any less of it doesn't pass? Impossible; we're at the pinnacle of "we really don't care." Even if these standards were established in part by Microsoft, I really can't convey the immensity of how much I don't care.

There are pages that are standards compliant but are aesthetically disappointing. If a page comes along that doesn't pass the standards but is visually pleasing and functional then why get your nerdy e-panties in a bunch?

Because it is completely hypocritical and ****es me off at least. If you are saying, "Oh everyone needs to follow these standards to make sure that every website works correctly in any browser", then you should also follow those standards and quit making a site that only displays with proprietary plugins and crappy CSS. Granted their HTML is much better than normal, and that is an improvement. (Y)

It's like how I don't want a friend to borrow $20 and then when I need it they aren't even willing to pay me back from the money I loaned them, nonetheless any new money. It's just not right. The standards are there for a reason and M$ insists on ignoring them.

It is more the principal of the matter than the fact that it is M$ doing it. I know that most websites don't pass the standards, but most of then should if only to make sure that everyone can see the site correctly.
