Syntax_Error
I received a key from Microsoft this morning. It was the 3scap3grav1ty one so nothing new. :pinch: If everyone helps to find the answers how does Microsoft know who to give the prizes to?
ShadeFoster
the blowtorch video is reversed BTW :p it goes from the text to being rubbish, thats how it works.and "Remember, countdowns usually end with a launch, and this will be a lift-off like the world has never seen." so this has something to do with the space station ? maybe the rocket blasts off without crashing, maybe it actually leaves earth and they dont fake being on the moon ? and now for some reason i cannot click the submit button on the flash part of the site! the button doesnt work :s? I ment reversing the images of the memory metal (?) before it was blowtorched I do actually realise and understand that the video is frist played inreverse then in sequence. I am sorry that there was a missunderstanding though I did think I was very clear that what I want to do is reverse a screen capture of the "rubbish" and also mess with it in my editing software to see if there might be more than rubbish. Then again it could very well just be rubbish. But atleast it is somthing to do. I sometimes have problems summiting stuff as well I find that reloding my browser or the web page fixes it most of the time. Hope that helps you. Shade. ShadeFoster
i never ment it for you :s? it was just to inform people so sorry if it looked like i was intending to have a go at you Sorry on my side to, It was a sequence missunderstanding. That is one of the problem I face not being used to forum comunitys. On another note I seem to find out about these puzzles well after they are realised is there a way to be "quicker on the ball". Or is it just a case of people getting lucky. It is kinda dishearting to the quality of use one has when all you can provide is speculation becuase everything is solved by the time you find out about it. Shade. Ashl
First Page needs updating with the two new parts of the site.. whats all that 12 puzzles about, does that mean when the countdown runs out in each location there will be 12 prizes available to be won? Great work everyone :p I go offline for a couple days and not only is there another 10 pages of posts, but also 2 more keys. I'm guessing "formula" was the solution to /biography. I think some of us (myself included) were definitely overthinking that one. I think it means that the real game hasn't actually started yet.. :s I don't know what they mean "online and off"... And I don't know what they mean by "lift-off like the world has never seen" but I guess we'll find out on Jan 8 :D.
Apogee
I suspect 12 puzzles per week until the launch of Windows Vista on the 30th. So 36 total puzzles/prizes if we start on Monday and end on the 28th. Just speculating. ;)

Just speculating. ;) Sounds right to me :p it says "chance to win some unbelievable prizes" so it sounsd like they'll have a draw for everyone who gets the right answer to each puzzle. You've probably all noticed this, but the site now shows "come back when the countdown reaches the vanishing point" on the main page. I guess all the puzzles have been solved for now :p
LoD14
i got that letter today with the post here in germany. i don't know, what's all that about, how sould they figure out who solved which quest? and if it would be a prize draw, that would be strange, because the "come back when the coundwon reaches the vanishing point" was allready shown, when the letter arrived here in germany o.O

LoD14
no, the one for berlin is for example outside the city. somewhere in the countryside, some farmers houses, some threes, a bit of wood... well, you could say... there's nothing out there. Where did these coordinates come from? No one has explained that yet. Someone just posted the list and we're all assuming they're legit. One other thing I wanted to say ... I think it's pretty clear from what we've seen so far that fixating on things such as the blowtorch, or the shape of the metal before they form the URL, is pointless. It's flavor, just stuff to enhance the mystique of the game. The game clues themselves will be fairly obvious. Of course, this could change, but it doesn't seem like she's doing anything but hiding in plain sight right now. SuperRob
Whoever posted them just grabbed coords for the cities. That's what I figured ... so they're just a wild guess. I'd assume that we'll get better location information closer to the locations countdown time, just like we did for the first one.
norseman
The video said something about 6 keys (?) all around us...where's the 6th I wonder??? Couldn't one of the keys be a key on the keyboard?
.Markus
Couldn't one of the keys be a key on the keyboard? I highly doubt any more ciphers/clues/keys will be released until the actual campaign starts. What we've found out so far is more than enough without them giving away more answers and therefore taking some of the mysticism away...
Patrol
Hello everybody, Can someone confirm those Long Lat coordinates, please? Where do you have them from, moroz r ? If they are correct, then the Berlin coordinates are somehow around the corner from where I live. If they aren't, do they represent the center of each of the cities? In that case, the Berlin coordinates would be wrong again, because the coordinates for Berlin are 52? 31' N, 13? 25' O according to the Wikipedia. So please help out in telling us, where you got those coordinates from :-) Best, Pat
LAWLESS
I don't think this is what they meant to do but does the writing on the page gets scrambled when you wait for a few minutes? Afterwards it returns to its original state.

blurg
Did yours not say Rot+4. I got Cipher Key 6 this morning. It's the same diagram as lokivanishes but +4, not -4. Hi, I received a letter this morning containing the note from Loki and a memory stick. The image was called Cipher Key 6.jpg and was a Rot +4 not the Rot -4 that was originally posted on Neowin. Letter was date marked the 28th December.

ShadeFoster
Syntax I must apologise I thought you were full of it but I was wrong. Here is the anserw to your key. 3akix3ozidd1b It looks to be the same puzzle as escapegravity though. The anserw goes back to zenith. Shade.
