nVidia Software Problems

Question

I just downloaded avedesk, and I'm curious about replacing my desktop icons with something a bit less... cluttered. However, whenever I enable the windows XP feature "do not display desktop icons", I get something really weird with my dual monitors/wallpapers option. Here is a screen. The second screen is unaffected, so I cropped it out. I last updated the nVidia software about 5 months ago.

I've never had any problems using Nvidia drivers. No new drivers for months/years? So what is it, months or years? Do you even have a clue of what you're saying? Didn't think so. How do drivers "blow goats"? Are you sure you didn't run into a conflict as a result of improper upgrade from one driver to another? Are you sure you didn't happen to run into a bug/glitch that was fixed by an updated version? Are you the type of person to not upgrade your drivers in years and then say it's the lack of updates when infact it's your choice and not what's happened? I wouldn't take to heart what a brand new not-even-finally-released OS has to say about "performance" ratings...

I'd say you're quite misguided, like many others...
