I may just be punch drunk on info overload, but check out all Members of the Board Of Directors of Rocketplane Limited, Inc. and tell me Ms. Marion Joh isn't our Loki!? sure you'd have to "remove" the glasses. That's certainly her....Right down to her cute lil' dimples.

Ms Marion Joh is definitely not Loki. They might be both asian, but they don't look alike at all :p

I saw that too....

Is Loki's story really Bill Gates story....With the Launch of Vista he is gone from Microsoft Corp.?

While we all know he's stepping down from the head leadership position at MS. He stated in the Keynote that he was asked how long he'll keep doing it....He responded something like, "...as long as THEY'LL LET ME, though you may hear more about infectious diseases than technology next year...." (not an exact quote mind you)...Does he believe this is his last hurrah w/ MS...is it really his story? Is it his explanation to the world. "Time Passes....Magic Happens.....Memories Fade......People Disappear" The Keynote, The "WOW Project", "Longhorn, the last Bill Gates driven project culminating in the "Ultimate Vista" and the awarding of a trip to the "Ultimate Vista for 1 lucky soul"...The peak of his career. The Buffet and Bill Gates / Microsoft fortunes to give away...The right choice...To actually help mankind afterall...If so, well done Uncle Bill.

Now the question...'Is this really a search for some of the smartest people or communities on the planet to actually help in the next mission?'

Certainly an interesting theory, not sure it holds up completely, but interesting all the same :)

There is no way that's Loki, apart from the fact they are both asian they look very different! :p

Look at the pictures side by side to confirm this if your not convinced, you'll notice the differences straight away.

Man it hurts my eyes.

I tried to overlay the image with the loki.jpg image to see if it revealed anything, no luck.. I found an interesting article on Steganography at wikipedia which just happens to mention:

"Its ancient origins can be traced back to 440 BC. Herodotus mentions two examples of Steganography in The Histories of Herodotus"

The fact that this book features in the first video is interesting

Also, should we be moving this side game discussion to the other thread started up in the parent forum?

I've been analyzing the homepage flash files, I don't believe that there are any clues

hidden around the "Memories fade" and "People disappear" messages, just a fancy

effect around the text.

BTW, wanna see how the next two boxes look like when open ?

Here you go:

Did you Photoshop those?

I still think we are missing something important.

"Go in through the window" this was in the video. I have been all over the Vista website trying to find a clue, nothing so far.

I agree this is very interesting, i'm going down a similar route at the moment and will post if I find anything.

In the mean time for more information on Steganography check out...

An interesting read if nothing more :)

BTW - If anyone finds a decent free Steganography decryption tool please post details! (I'd avoid "Invisible Secrets 2.1" as i've installed it on two machines and every time I run it against loki.jpg it locks up :()

Also if Steganography does turn out to be the key we'll almost certainly be needing a keyword / password in order to accurately decrypt the hidden data.

Any suggestions welcome, i'm thinking it would probably relate to "Histories of Herodotus" in some way, perhaps the examples mentioned in the book?

Speaking of which i don't suppose anyone on here happens to have a copy of that book?

Just a hint, when you go to the collectionplate page the name of the stylesheet is "meta.css"

Hmm... I dunno. It still doesnt explain all of the running around we did... The white boxes were there whether we called/emailed/called/searched/called again. The two are probably both part of the same puzzle... But I cant figure out the point of making us jump through hoops when we got those boxes anyway, know what I mean?

If you mean I made them up, no. Yes I used potoshop to reduce the size/resolution, the original image is

a 403 x 399 png file.

This one seems pretty stable, tested it by hiding and retrieving files within files without problems....

http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Utiliti...s_Download.html

There is no hidden data in Loki.jpg not requiring a password, but having run the file through a few Steganography decryption type programs it does appear that something is there if you have the right password (although it could just be a random blip that appears similar to encrypted data).

I could be wrong but I think we might be onto something here... what i'd give to get my hands on a copy of "Histories of Herodotus" right now :)

what is this extra hand doing here and do you think this intentional

post-176841-1169009168.jpg

I think she must be gestring with both hands,

which is strange as she is holding a cane in her right hand! Is there a twin in the video? or is the video not put in chronological order

It's just a gesture when she talking about laying drywall and some witewash, is her hand.

The videos have very rough transitions, some of them just a few frames dissolve and may not be

in sequence.

In response to the flashing text which appears above box 3 and 4, I noticed it is the same code for both and I also believe it is "1 r.." at the end due to the fact there is already an "l" as the 4th character and "i" as 6th and the "1" looks different!.

post-196150-1169047787.jpg

post-196150-1169047797.jpg

Also the "r..." seems to indicate the continuation of the text, maybe the "r" is actually "right" which would fit with loki's hint of "right" when touching her glasses?

Hello guys! Just grilling through the video # 2...have you noticed the beauty mark (birth mark) on Loki's neck? Does not look natural to be there. I did not pay attention to this...Does she have one on her video while in Hotel??? That birthmark seems to be "out of place...unnatural"..Any ideas?

Unfortunately that only works with .bmp files and not .jpg, changing the file format would likely destroy any hidden data so that's a non starter i'm afraid, some other tools there sound interesting though (even if they don't help with this specific problem!)

Think i'll stick with this one for now...

Just need to work on finding a password!

On th subject of "Histories of Herodotus"...

Greek historian Herodotus records how one plotter of a revolt communicated secretly with another by shaving a slave's head, writing on his scalp, letting his hair grow back, and sending the slave as an apparently unencumbered messenger.

From http://www.answers.com/topic/steganography

I'm working on finding the exact wording from the book describing this and another early use of steganography.
