The cost with a contract will much lower. the price it is released at ($499 / $599), does include a contract. So thats probably going to work out at ?350 for the 4GB version, and at least ?400 for the 8GB version (for 4GB, $500 is ?250. Add in VAT which is ?50. Then add in that we usually get charged even more, and your talking around ?350 IMO, and the same thing with the 8GB version). So for PAYG (without a contract), it will probably be around ?600. That is of course, unless we get ripped off even more than usual lol. Sorry, Apple, the iPhone is going to flop at that price. It's better to wait until next year when the parts are less expensive that to release something like that now. Can just hope that they are able to do the same thing with this. 3G is an improvement (if it happens), but by then I would have been on HSDPA for a year... the iPhone was still designed for a US perspective and it will always be behind our tech curve until that changes. Nokia N95 for me.
