lisagauss
hello everyone...i was wondering if anyone knows of a program that connects to a unix machine via the internet from your home pc. The connection is not only for sharing files, but also to control the unix machine. I would imagine that it would be through telnet, but don't know of any other way. MxxCon
if you are talking about taking over nix desktop, then you could use vnc. or run xwindows client on your puter and connect to remote server, but make sure you do it over ssh tunnel otherwise it's very insecure. if you don't need gui then SSH(telnet is dead) is perfect.
