New nvidia 100.64 beta drivers.

if its not remembering your settings try this, go to c:\windows\system32, goto properties of nvcplui.exe, compatibility, tick run as administrator. ;) otherwise it might not let u save your settings in registry as that requires admin priviledges.

also side note as far as i understand nvidia dont plan on any support for the geforce 5 series and earlier in vista. so if drivers work they do, if not dont expect any new drivers.

Anyone still having the problem with screen going greenish with diagonal lines after you exit a game? or in dualview when you played a game / have remote desktopped to the computer / let the screen go black after you locked the computer?

regards

Should I use these instead of 97.46 if I have a 6600GT? (agp)

yes, if you notice a decrease in performance/functionality go back to 97.46 and wait for a newer release to test that out.

has anyone figured out what's causing the bluescreen? granted i'm trying to use drivers on a 5700, but I know the machine can run Aero...what's weird is that my laptop was working fine with Nvidia drivers up until a certain point, and then started bluescreening...since then, i've uninstalled and tried later versions, but the damned drivers still bluescreen on reboot...thoughts?

I still have this problem with my setup:

As you can see my second monitor goes weird. That happens for instance after I play a game. Get home after I have remote desktopped at work or when my monitor comes out of standby

Anyone else noticing this to?

I have that problem (the display corruption) on my system with any drivers newer than the 96.85 (or whatever number comes with vista) whenever my computer goes into standby or UAC activates. The 100.54 stopped it happening on standby, but now 100.64 brought that issue back. I can't even use the 97.46 drivers with my 7900GT as a result of this. It's getting pretty annoying. I keep hoping one of these drivers will fix it, but none have so far :-(

Hi all,

I'm one of the lucky SOB that gets to test all these new drivers on my new Vista x64 build. I would imagine they released the new drivers because Windows DreamScene Content (Vista Ultimate Extra) did not work with x64 and 8800 GTS (at least it didnt work on my machine I only assume here).

Although I dont know the truth about the release I can say I crash everytime coming out of sleep. When I say crash I mean the monitors typically go off (like sleep mode was enabled) but the system still responds to input. As a matter of fact, this exact behavior happened when I went to install the 100.64 drivers. Ran setup.exe choose defaults got prompted for unsigned driver choose yes heard the windows sounds for new hardware monitors went blank. Waited a few minutes and reset the sucker. Device manager shows new drivers and I can now play DreamScene content.

I only hope NVIDIA gets a WHQL driver sooon. One last thing, I was able to reproduce one error exactly each time with .59 build release using my firewire drive and windows sleep mode. I've already submitted a QA bug report with Nvidia. Interesting enough Microsoft came out with the KB929762 which states, ".. resolves an issue which may cause the sytem to crash while resuming from hibernation while an IEEE 1394 hard drive is connected."

This is my first NVIDIA card ... I usually buy ATI. :-/

Yeah, my problem is exactly like you describe it. Diagonal lines whenever the computer goes to standby or I try to play video through Media Player Classic.

Me, too. At least I feel better knowing I'm not alone, BUT I'm afraid I will be upgrading to an ATI soon...

Remember, these are betas. simple

They are usually hit and miss, but with Vista, more misses then hits.

Using betas on x86 XP was great. More often then not, great performance but these Vista drivers are just dodgy.

Even ATI has issues

Only had the chance to give CSS a try with the new drivers, and so far it seems that there is a performance increase of some sort.

The game ran much better for me now than with the .59 drivers.

these are the best for vista!!!!

i really wish i could agree with you guys, but i really can't, the performance was stupidly worse for me

Vista is good, the drivers on the other hand, suck donkey balls.

I HATE the new control center with a passion, it gives you no functionality whatsoever !!!!

when i get my new 21" Widescreen next week i want the best performance i can get hold of, and that aint no where in vista at the minute..

Seriously, you cant even flip the display horizontal, you cant do anything related to using 720p/1080p, there is nothing..

I cant get AA/AF to work, my games stutter randomly, these drivers are bollocks.

and creative ? JESUS, their XP drivers i thought wer a little crap, in Vista its just a mass explosion of stuttering bull****!
