Adding "Search Engines" in Opera

1. To add a search engine in Opera, visit the site and type TEST into the Search box.

(Note: You can use any word, letter or number...)

2. Copy whatever is in your Address bar. (Example: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=TEST&btnG=Google+Search)

(Note: To copy URL, high-light and press "Ctrl+C" on your keyboard)

3. Press "Ctrl+F12" or go to Tools>Preferences, click Search tab.

4. Click Add button, Enter the Name and Keyword. Paste the URL into the Address section.

(Note: To paste press Ctrl+V)

5. Change TEST into %s and then click the OK button

(Note: Shift+5=%)

All done :)

You can also right-click on a text entry box and select "Create Search..." :D

Or you could

1. open up the page with the search bar you want a shortcut for, for example www.google.com or www.amazon.com

2. right click in the search field and choose "Create search..."

3. chose a shortcut key/word of choice in "Keyword"
