riahc3 Posted February 24, 2007 Share Posted February 24, 2007 Well I remember MS stating something about combining Xbox 360 and Windows Vista games by having them interact and possible run one another (If a game runs on Vista it can run on the Xbox 360 and visaversa). Kushan Posted February 24, 2007 Share Posted February 24, 2007 What they mean by that is that it's very very easy for a developer to port from one to the other if they wish to because of the development tools they use. There is no game on any console out there that couldn't be ported to the PC, despite what they may say, just Microsoft has tried to make it easier to port from the 360 to Vista and vice versa. Halo 3 has not been announced for the PC yet, but keep in mind that Halo 1 and 2 both made it to the PC eventually (it took Halo 2 a while, but no doubt this was deliberate by Microsoft to give people an incentive to upgrade to Vista). On that note, there's nothing in Halo 2 that couldn't be done on a windows XP Machine, Microsoft just chose to limit it to Vista for other reasons.
