Carlos11
@ Meshuggah I think all issues were fixed with the current unreleased build I sent to you, right? Meshuggah
Yup everything is working. Thanks for the "super secret" build :D. It should be out for everyone else soon enough, and it's FREAKING awesome. Carlos makes his work better every build. edejong
I'm also using it, again. I only have a question... is there a way to get more sharper text? Because mine looks a little unsharp as you can see in my screenshot totally different than the text under the shortcuts [on my desktop] but i'm using the same font. btw, i'm using Franklin Gothic Medium font edit: I just read about soft shadow, might that help? ah and just a total different question, when i listen to .m4a files in winamp, CAD shows unknown by album and year. Bug? Edited May 22, 2007 by edejong Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/546560-release-cd-art-display-rc6/page/4/#findComment-588571701 Share on other sites
Carlos11
edejong Regarding text: probably because the anti-aliasing path method to draw text that CAD uses; it's possible to add other methods when the outline option is disabled (when I have time I'll try to make some tests). Soft shadow: will make it look better m4a: CAD can't read those tags; see pinned topic ("Tips and FAQ regarding CD Art Display") in CAD forum for a workaround Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/546560-release-cd-art-display-rc6/page/4/#findComment-588571922 Share on other sites

I use the version from fileforum..[one that does not have soft shadow yet] Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/546560-release-cd-art-display-rc6/page/4/#findComment-588574954 Share on other sites

edejong
thanks! :) don't get the whole new text area thing.. but a different question, I like the Just Cover skin the most, the only that bothers me that the borders are kinda ugly, in the picture there some stripes. It's not just this CD, all cdcovers with plaincolours on the side show it.. you seen see it better when you zoom in a little sorry but i'm kinda a perfectionist hehe Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/546560-release-cd-art-display-rc6/page/4/#findComment-588577539 Share on other sites
Carlos11
@ edejong, You could visit the forum below, post your skin and discuss it there (other users can help to fine adjust it): http://closetosoftware.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=10 I can't see anything wrong... Maybe a bigger screenshot? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/546560-release-cd-art-display-rc6/page/4/#findComment-588577795 Share on other sites
Gamerhomie
I remember posting something in an older thread and I just came across this again today so I decided to use it Carlos, thanks for making this wonderful software. But I ran into a few problems as well. First off I have Winamp 5.35 running with CAD RC 6 Build 1 on XP Home. I have about 70 or so albums of which some don't work because they're not very known. I'll get to that later. Most others work, expect for a few specific ones, like for example Gorillaz - Demon Days. They're just random albums which I can't get the artwork to show automatically. So I download them and it shows for one song. If I switch to another albums and come back to lets say Gorillaz, the album won't show. I have each folder having the cover art named folder.jpg but that isn't work. See, this is good: This is bad and it seems like it's a few random albums: Also, when I'm searching for unknown albums or want to make my own, they don't show up either even though they are saved as folder.jpg in the album folder. Carlos11
@ Gamerhomie Since you already have RC6 installed then maybe you could try CAD 1.0 Preview 1 (Please read the topic before trying it): https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=562961 Anyway and considering you use the "folder.jpg" you should have the following pattern as the first in "Control Panel>Read cover": %songfolder%folder.jpg or even %songfolder%folder.jp* In addition, go to "Control Panel>Download" and check how CAD is saving a downloaded cover because you should have a pattern that is also in "Read cover" list. Since you're using "folder.jpg" you could use: %songfolder%folder.jpg You can even check "Control Panel>Options" troubleshooting in RC6 or "Control Panel>Troubleshooting" in Preview 1.0.
