Vice
I don't know what has happened.. but now my control panel only shows these 3 icons when I visit it. Which means I can no longer uninstall any applications through the Vista uninstall agent or do anything else that is kept inside the Control Panel. I don't know how to get it back. The only change to my system was that I installed a newer version of iTunes. But of course without the uninstaller I am unable to uninstall iTunes since it does not seem to make a uninstaller inside its directory and the installer also does not include an uninstaller path. Anyone else had anything like this? Screen shot to illustrate my point. Slimy
Are you sure you haven't been tweaking services? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/546937-vista-control-panel-malfunction/#findComment-588403378 Share on other sites
Vice
I'm sure. I have not touched any services. It worked okay last night, I woke up this morning and it was like this. Okay I fixed it. When I opened my Wallpaper section to set a different Dream background I noticed that all the Video and Dream selection items had also vanished so I guessed this was an Explorer problem. I closed Explorer.exe and re-opened it through Task Manager and the control panel came back to normal as did my Dream menu! Case closed. Thanks Slimey for replying though.
