crazzy88ss Posted January 14, 2013 Share Posted January 14, 2013 what CPU? Try running it at 2 cores less than your CPU has. So if it's an 8 core CPU, do 6 cores. My Core i7 iMac had issues folding at 100% for long periods of time. Oddly, the computer ran just fine, but the actual data that was being folded got corrupted and I had to start the Work Unit over from the beginning. I ran it all day yesterday but when I checked temps theyre at ~80c + an h80 water cooler, so something needs addressing.. The aluminum case on my iMac can get near hand-burning levels when it's at 100%, though.
