Symphony
Not bad, but has a quite slow startup time compared to GOM Player or MPUI. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/548966-kmplayer-2931232-beta/#findComment-588424401 Share on other sites
.AlleymaN
Not bad, but has a quite slow startup time compared to GOM Player or MPUI. MPUI I agree, I get almost the same times with GOM; maybe KM lagging by a sliver. mancode20
Anyone know why the color is messed up with some of my .mpg files using this player? Everything is either blue or green. They won't even play in Winamp and Windows Media Player 11. I guess I should be thankful KMPlayer can at least play them, even if the people do look like smurfs. I think it's mpeg 1 one files that say they are VCD ready. Guess that's why they won't play in the other players. Must need a codec for that. mancode20
I'm loving this player, mostly because it plays everything without codecs, it has incredibly fast rewind and fast forward features just by holding down the arrow keys, and it's wealth of options. This player has helped me realize how nice it can be to watch a movie in its correct aspect ratio if you have a widescreen monitor. My only problem with the player is what I described in my earlier post. Anyone know why the color is messed up with some of my .mpg files using this player? Everything looks blue on certain older encoded .mpg files. Where can I get one? Those same files tend to make Winamp and WMP11 unresponsive, and I'm eventually forced to crash it because it'll say "not responding" when I fast forward. I wish I knew why. The fast forwarding works great in KMPlayer, yet the picture is as blue as the blue man group. So I can't win!
