SULAX50 Posted March 29, 2007 Share Posted March 29, 2007 working on our end.. *ponders enabling the ui hack by default if possible*, that is, assuming it creates an option, and doesnt force black.. or an option on install.. or something.. meh :p Now I would not let me AIM Ad Hack friends hanging...you know I would find a way to make it default. Try doing the following. This is really for ad hack developers only... 1) Navigate to C:\Program Files\AIM6\services\imApp\ver6_1_32_1 2) Open ServiceManifest.xml 3) Find line : <preferenceDefault key="aol.imApp.skins.userSkin" scope="identity" type="string"></preferenceDefault> 4) insert box://aimToolkit/theme/black/brushes_default.box in between "><" 5) result should be: <preferenceDefault key="aol.imApp.skins.userSkin" scope="identity" type="string">box://aimToolkit/theme/black/brushes_default.box</preferenceDefault> If you have already set the preference this change will not work. This is how we have default settings for AIM 6, so if you have never set userSkin, this will work. AIM Ad Hack guys, if you have any questions, you know how to find me. I will be working on more of these at some point. I am a little swamped the next 30 days, but I will try and explain how you can make your own theme. Changes in AIM Ad Hack 5.42 - 3/30/07 *Updated for AIM 6.0 version 6.1.32.1 *Added new plugins to install notes: did NOT enable black skin in this release.. sorry, you all need to do the legwork :D sulax released a new version of musiclink the day after we compiled this... whoops.. Thanks, works great! Greg, I did get a Runtime Error with aolsoftware.exe the first time I ran the program after making the transition and black change, I screenshoted it if you would like to see it, but I couldn't reproduce the error. Yeah, sorry about that. I was bored yesterday and fixed those two bugs real quickly. Not sure why you got runtime errors, though I am guessing that maybe it was due to you making the changes while the app was running? Not sure why you got runtime errors, though I am guessing that maybe it was due to you making the changes while the app was running? Nah, app and all processes were closed.
