Amano
Hamachi 1.0.2.0 - Download Hamachi gives you LAN over the Internet. Virtually any application that works over local/home networks can also be used over Hamachi networks. Think - Windows File Sharing, iTunes, Remote Desktop, Remote Assistance or even gaming - all fully encrypted, authenticated and peer-to-peer. Hamachi is a zero-configuration virtual private networking application with an open security architecture and NAT-to-NAT traversal capabilities. Hamachi is the first application to mix seemingly unrelated networking technologies in one powerful package to deliver an unprecedented level of direct peer-to-peer connectivity. Hamachi is secure. All Hamachi communications are encrypted and authenticated with industry-standard algorithms and protocols. Nobody will be able to see what two Hamachi peers are talking about. However what is equally important - Hamachi security architecture is completely open meaning that its detailed description is available to anyone interested for review and validation. NienorGT
look nice, but I'm a bit scared at the idea to use full file sharing over the net... Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/550665-hamachi-1020/#findComment-588444350 Share on other sites
Tantawi
look nice, but I'm a bit scared at the idea to use full file sharing over the net... It can be disabled. Gaming is the section where Hamachi is brilliantly shining! (Y). Pc_Madness
look nice, but I'm a bit scared at the idea to use full file sharing over the net... Yeah, I usually disable it, as I think it makes my Network Connections page slower as it tries to find details on the remote computer, and connecting to those shares can be really slow anyway. Great for gaming though, I'd go nuts without it. :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/550665-hamachi-1020/#findComment-588444392 Share on other sites

daz-
look nice, but I'm a bit scared at the idea to use full file sharing over the net... Its encrypted and secure. Only the clients you install it on, and add to your network can see and access the shares. It uses its own addressing scheme 5.x.x.x instead of 1.x.x.x and 2.x.x.x. Think of it as a super easy to configure VPN. Just install it on clients and enter your username and password. Works really good. Downsides, Remote Desktop wont work without running it as a service (causes some problems when its running as a user app). And I havent been able to get local routing working. ie I can't make it so clients can access other computers on a remote network through one hamachi client.
