vista's gone very slow with itunes. a lot of people know that and apple's one of them (remember them saying not to upgrade to vista because itunes doesn't work right with it?) and using task manager and google, i found a page pointing to the problem: it's the search indexer's handling of xml files. http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/showpost....=0&pageid=1 if you disable xml indexing (let's hope you don't need it) it goes much faster. this is supposedly affecting users of windows desktop search on xp, too. since i've disabled xml indexing searchfilterhost.exe takes much less cpu (beforehand it took like 80% which is a bit insane since it's by default at the lowest priority).
