Sneak Peak at WindowBlinds 6 and more

WB in Vista is using the DWM, so resource usage really isn't an issue as it's taking advantage of hardware acceleration in Vista. As far as cool stuff with Vista, this article might interest you. :)

I've read that article, but some things are cool, others are more of the same. Updated stuff, some new but not much more. You have the platform to do much more I would say.

And yes, what about Vista x64? Will Stardock support it?

What exactly what would you like to see? Also remember that Vista will have it's own version of WindowFX, which is called StyleVista that will also introduce some really cool effects.

As far as 64-bit goes, WindowBlinds is currently in testing on 64-bit, so it should be coming soon.

Will there be a system to let users write plugins, sort of like Beryl has? I mean, it seems like Vista's display manager could be doing so much more. Custom effects and utilities that can be written by users (Sort of like what's going to happen with the Deskscapes SDK, I guess?) would be very very interesting.

Is their a way to know what StyleVista will be able to do? A list of features? And, will it be x64?

I havent used this in so long. Is there still like a free trial or anything? If so, does it allow glass themes to run in full glass in vista? or does it only let you use themes without glass?

There is a 60 day trial available from download.com. You can use the transparent themes that come with and use those features. But any transparent themes you download would show as opaque.

Most, if not all the applications will eventually be x64 compatible. StyleVista is still in early development, but I will see what details I can come up for you. :)
