alexchu2643
OK... I was supposed to email something early this morning... and I kinda forgot. How can I make the time signature (for sending) appear that it occured this morning?... so that the person I'm sending this to thinks I sent it on time, and it was just "stuck" in a server somewhere? threetonesun
Don't most mail programs show time recieved not time sent?
alexchu2643
I thought it was based on the sending server's time... but I might be wrong...

clide
Ya, seems like changing your system time before you send it works if you are using outlook

DrunkenMaster
Yes but there's also a stamp in the header from the ISP's server which you can't change. Depending on the e-mail program either one will appear.
zhangm Supervisor Posted December 30, 2002 Supervisor Share Posted December 30, 2002 Not too much you can do beyond the Outlook... With Hotmail, I think you can change your regional time to something like, GMT and such. Its enough to displace your actual sending time by a day. But yeah, nothing you can do with the timestamps in the header. Just hope your contact doesn't have everything set on "Advanced View" and read it too closely...
