olympusxp
I just bought the D-Link DI-614+ 22MBPS AirPlus wireless router and a DWL-650+ for my laptop (they came bundled together). This is a nice router and I've heard great things about it. I'm going to be connecting two computers and an Xbox to it on the ethernet end and one laptop on the wireless end. What type of CAT5 should be good? While I was at the store I went ahead and bought a 25foot Belkin Fast CAT5e cable to start off with. On the Xbox, since I have it modded, I will be streaming movies over the network from my computer to the Xbox. Do you think CAT5e is sufficient enough for this operation or should I use CAT6? Tobbe
I got a CAT-5E with my Netgear router. When I bought two other cables then I got CAT-5E too... CAT-5E seems to be standard today. Are CAT-5E really suitable for Giga Ethernet?
