I believe there is actually interview video even a day after the fight with Gonzaga with him confirming he would retire after the contract. I think he will probably be done, but he did state he would train hard for any contender and he would even take on the champ. But I don't think Dana White would give a belt to someone who will probably retire after 3 more fights.

Bodog seriously better not get the deal. UFC wants the best of the best, then show the best you are willing to pay for the best, and let his comrades come fight as well, do an event in Moscow. Then we can put Aleksander on the card as well, get some HUGE fights.

Just announced:

Michael Bisping vs. Matt Hamill

Thoughts?

I actually love this matchup. Everyone is saying Bisping will just pound him out. But Hamill is very strong on his feet, and a great ground game. I'm not impressed at Bisping's crap fights he's fought and just had to ground and pound people out. I think this will be tough for Bisping.

Yeah I think this is Bispings toughest fight yet...it will really show what he is made of as a fighter =)

In the Fedor-Hunt match, Hunt was laying on top of Fedor for a large portion of the match I believe, and he outweighs Fedor by ~70lbs. I thought that was pretty noteworthy too.

I really hope he gets signed by the UFC, he deserves the exposure, and that will help him go down as one of the greats if he can continue his terror in the UFC. If he doesn't come to the UFC, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will be top dog.

The UFC 75 main event between UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson (27-6 MMA, 2-0 UFC) and PRIDE welterweight (183-pound) and middleweight (205-pound) champion Dan Henderson (22-5 MMA, 2-0 UFC) will unify the two organizations? 205-pound belts.

UFC President Dana White clarified the status of the fight during this past weekend, and UFCjunkie.com (www.ufcjunkie.com) confirmed the news with one of the fighter?s camps earlier today.

UFC 75 takes place Sept. 5 at The 02 arena in London.

This latest news contradicts earlier reports from the Orange Country Register (which reported that no belts will be on the line) and Sherdog.com (which reported that just the UFC belt will be on the line).

Jackson, a former PRIDE fighter who transitioned into the UFC earlier this year, picked up the light-heavyweight belt by defeating longtime champ Chuck Liddell at UFC 71. Prior to the championship bout, Jackson made his Octagon debut at UFC 67 and defeated Marvin Eastman with a second-round technical knockout.

Henderson, a U.S. Olympic Greco-Roman wrestler, won the UFC 17 tournament in 1998 before heading overseas for a successful career in PRIDE. After winning the organization?s welterweight title, he scored an upset of Wanderlei Silva at PRIDE 33 earlier this year to pick up the middleweight belt, as well. (Unlike the UFC, PRIDE?s middleweight division is for 205-pounders.)

UFC owners Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta purchased PRIDE earlier this year, and since then, the Japanese-based organization has been in a state of limbo. White even went as far as calling the status of the business ?a mess,? and with numerous PRIDE fighters being signed to UFC contracts, it?s remains unknown if an event will be held under the PRIDE name anytime soon.

UFC 75 set for Spike TV

By Kevin Iole

Monday, Jul 16, 2007 3:35 pm EDT

The UFC continues to prove it "gets it," which is why the gulf between mixed martial arts and boxing continues to grow.

Spike TV and the UFC jointly announced on Monday that UFC 75 - arguably the most significant fight card in the UFC's history - will air free in the U.S. on Spike.

The main event on Sept. 8 in London pits Pride champion Dan Henderson against UFC champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson in a battle for the 205-pound titles of each organization.

Definately, if it lives up to it's billing it has the potential to be one of the most exciting card yet. Especially with the Champion vs. Champion main event. UFC will be hoping for another Bisping win to please the crowd, more importantly, I wanna see the return the the CroCop of old!

I'm almost tempted to get tickets for this one, if they're still available. Octagon side tickets are ?250 though!:pinch::

If I remember correctly, Matt Hamill was forced to leave the Ultimate Fighter television show due to his injuries. So, this will prove much more than just how good Bisping is. Should Bisping lose, questions like 'What if Hamill stayed on the show..would he have won instead of Bisping?', 'Is Bisping the actual Ultimate Fighter?', and things of that sort. So more is on the line than what you all may think. Perhaps this will cause Bisping to train harder. Or, it could be just the opposite. Maybe it will give Hamill more incentive.
