Can this .exe be downloaded separately? I like to keep the setup file so if I reformat my windows, I don't need to waste my bandwidth d/l massive updates

It's fine and works perfectly.
Since when does WLM come thru WU? I thought it usualy comes at login?
Indeed, this is a wierd method but see the direct link above ^

For those of you still running XP with Microsoft Updates, there is a change I did not see before. WLM has been added to the Microsoft Updates page as part of what updates MU looks for. It looks like any new updates to WLM will come through MU.

You know its been SOOOO long since thats happened i totally forgot about it. Nice catch (Y)

The only answer i can imagine is its easier (and less code) to just ditch per program upgrade detection etc, and just have microsoft update/windows update do all the work. Also seems like it would be easier for microsoft that way too.

AS SAID, THERE ARE NO MAJOR CHANGES, LET ALONE ANY MINOR

i doubt there will be a patch..

lol and lol

this is by far the most illogical statement I've read since the beginning of the year.

:D exactly

I left my computer running overnight (with WLM signed in) and when I woke up, the damn update had restarted my computer! What if I had unsaved work?! That is BS.

So has anyone found the actual "background changes"?

I'm guessing the main change is how the updates are delivered (from checking itself to using Microsoft Update), probably a couple of bug fixes here and there. Maybe some kind of changelog will be released soon.

Yes, I did post it above but as some people seem incapable of reading through the posts in this thread here it is again:

...What?

Want to try that again in literate English? As I see what your lack of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation have done to you.

WLM may have some features that are not to your liking. Well, urm patch them out?

Stop being so pendantic and close minded. WLM looks prettier than your illiterate post does as well.

While his post wasn't insightful, I'm not too sure if yours were either

First of all, it's pedantic and not pendantic. Second of all, you're as pedantic as he is by telling him that his English ain't perfect. Third of all, you don't even know if he's from a country where English is the spoken language.

What does that have to do with WLM restarting my computer? I understand that the update had to be installed, but restarting my computer without my consent is too much.

Try changing your local WU settings then; it's how your own PC is configured that decides if it with auto-reboot or not.
