richard.dogood
Thank you 'Hypervigilant". I too tried to remove aol uninstaller from my control panel. When I found it couldn't be done. I googled and only techguy seemed to have an answer much too complicated for my pea brain. so in my journey to get rid of aol uninstaller I went to the Start button on my computer and ran the regular 'search' program with advanced options for sub-folders named aol. and deleted over 200 entries which the aol uninstaller said weren't there, but I couldn't delete 9 pf tje files. I then googled again and found your instructions on Neowin Forums. I went back to computer Start 'search' program. and the same 9 files came up. I right clicked one at a time and changed the names to garbage letters until I came to a file that couldn't let me change it's name. then going to Add/remove programs when I clicked on aol uninstaller I rec'd the error message with the query do I wish to delete aol uninstaller. clicked yes and bye bye aol... Thanks 'HyperVigilant'. Your instructions Worked!! Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/569466-how-to-uninstall-aol-uninstaller/ Share on other sites
