Vista and nVidia Fan Settings

Recommended Posts

Ive Looked EVERYWHERE for a program that lets me set my nvidia video card's fan setting high when performing higher end 3d...Rivatuner used to have it but I guess it only has that feature on the XP version...I have also tried ATI tool with no success.

Does anyone know a proggie that will do this for me?

Thanks

I am using RivaTuner under Vista to control the speed of the fan on my 8800 GTS. Have you tried the most recent version?

The problem is that you are in the wrong area of the program. I believe the picture I posted below is pretty self explanitory

You are using Riva Tuner, I believe the fan checkbox is found on the CoolBits control panel of the nvidia driver if you have applied the correct registry entry.

Im having the same problem. :(

It used to work before I reinstalled Vista. :s

Latest Drivers and Latest Riva tuner.

Hopefully the next vers of Forceware will fix this, From what Ive read its not Rivetuner itself, its the drivers.

u can use nvidia nTune to set the fan speed to 100%. I'm using it in vista ultimate x64 and it's working fine. I also oc'd my card with it.

it does't have all the other options as rivatuner or coolbits, but it doesn't the job. you have to go into advanced settings where it'll ask you to accept another set of "warnings" then you can access the settings to of the fan and the clock speed.

In rivatuner make sure that you've got the right graphics/monitor selected from the drop down menu, I can't access my fan control if its set to the wrong one, I just get the same menu as you.
