Morishani
I keep the first post updated with information about that. It will work with Windows XP X64 too? piehouserat
It will work with Windows XP X64 too? erm have you not read the main post... it clearly states that it will currently not work with vista x64 and to stop asking about it. when a solution is found, i'm sure vertigosity will update us with whats going on. plamen
Is the last version of the patcher compatible with Vista SP1? Do we need to uninstall the previous build before putting the new one? Cheers! vertigosity
Is the last version of the patcher compatible with Vista SP1? Do we need to uninstall the previous build before putting the new one?Cheers! Yeah, there's nothing different about SP1 from SP0 as far as this is concerned. You'll need to restore system files before installing the new build, but you don't need to uninstall. You'll need to restore system files before installing the new build, but you don't need to uninstall. I am mentioning it because I am with SP 1 and it seems that the patcher did not changed some things (or it did its job 50-50) for example - only the folders that are newly created or sub folders are "brown" (Like the tango theme) the rest are still yellow, the same is with the icons of the hard drives in my computer (only drive c: is with the new icon) the rest are the default vista icons. The same is with the control panel(but I know that they are not yet completed). Maybe something to do with SP1? Other than that works like a charm! That's probably not SP1, it's more likely I need to add a different path(s) to search in for thumbnail files. Of course, I have no idea what those would be... vertigosity
Just as a random update/FYI/heads up to anyone interested, I'm now legitimately licensed for 64-bit Ultimate (I've had enough re-arming, and 2GB isn't enough for Vista pretties + gaming, so I got 4GB). Oddly enough, five minutes after I posted my order, I checked my DA account, and saw this comment: http://comments.deviantart.com/1/78022625/705722394 Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/572421-shell-patcher-super-turbo-tango-patcher-6000/page/7/#findComment-589341751 Share on other sites

vertigosity
Is restorator scriptable? Scriptability is one of its key features... but at $90, it's definitely commercial. I don't really want to have non-free dependencies... but its feature set looks seriously appropriate. But at least, if I bought a copy I could redist enough bits of it necessary to mod other people's systems, rather than tell everyone to buy something... I've been pretty busy lately, so I'll leave testing it on a 64-bit machine to someone else; their specifications page says it should work, though. Rebdomine
Vertigosity, can't you make a little simple guide, that tells which files to mod and which icons go where and stuff if you get what i mean. Im willing to mod the system files manually, to obtain tango icons lol. Seriusly....
