just realised, why on earth aren't we on tv tomorrow for the west ham game.

And speaking of something else, related to LFC

iIhave however noticed something that is irritating me.

i have a This Is Anfield book, and in it, it speaks of the importance of the TIA plaque in the tunnel, and how the players always used to touch it before a game as they walk through, i've noticed less and less of our players through recent years actually touch the plaque. i can see images of Fowler, Owen, Gerrard and Carragher along with players like Hyypia, Finnan, Berger, Murphy all touching the plaque, nowadays, i don't think i even see ONE player touch it, occasionally a few opponent players do and then a few of ours do.

But i think its somethign Rafa should get back into the team, its part of Liverpool, and i think it should put some pride back into the team and urge them to do well in the league!

just my 2 pennies though :D

Liverpool co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett have rejected Dubai International Capital's ?400million bid for the Premier League club.

The offer, which would represent a ?25million profit for each of the American tycoons, was immediately turned down, an associate involved with the negotiations revealed. He spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation.

The source also suggests that Hicks had not formally rejected the offer but has made it very clear that he is unwilling to sell his share in the club.

Hicks is committed to retaining his 50 percent share in Liverpool while Gillett is reportedly willing to sell. Hicks has said he can block Gillett from selling his stake.

Although no formal statement is expected from Hicks, his stance remains the same as last month, when he said: 'Reports that I am about to sell my stake in the Liverpool Football Club, or to invite DIC to examine the club's books in preparation for such a sale - like other such reports planted in the UK press in recent weeks by parties with their own self-interested agenda - are absolutely and categorically false.

'The reality is that I am personally, professionally and financially committed to the club and its supporters and I will continue to honour that commitment to the best of my ability now and in the future.'

The American duo bought the club last year for approximately ?218m - beating a rival bid from the Dubai consortium.

Hicks also owns the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Stars.

Ahh, well I think the reason we are not on TV tomorrow is because of the Champions League games, so really they cannot fit us in. It is a bit frustrating actually that we have to wait an extra week to face Inter Milan because of the San Siro being shared, but at least we can finally get our game in hand out of the way!

Yeah, I think it would be nice to see more players touching the This Is Anfield sign. I mean, if you look back over the years so many famous names have touched the sign and I know if I was a Liverpool player I would definitely do it. Benitez respects our heritage and I see him touch the sign all the time which is nice, but I just don't think the foreign players quite understand it as much as our scousers do. If anyone should tell the players to touch the sign it should be our captain Gerrard, but then again I suppose it is up to the player themselves. Although, it is not often you get a camera inside the tunnel so more people do it than we think.

I really hope we beat West Ham tonight, it is a very important game :D

You will beat us, I think its gonna be a drumming if I have to bee honest 3-0 I think.

Liverpool's future is still unclear after co-owner George Gillett failed to agree a deal with Dubai International Capital over his 50% share in the club.

DIC has tabled a ?400m bid to take control of Liverpool from Gillett and his fellow American partner Tom Hicks.

Representatives for DIC held talks with Gillett's lawyers at a London hotel on Tuesday, with Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry also in attendance.

BBC Sport understands the talks were "cordial" but the parties remain apart.

The talks are expected to continue on a daily basis, but DIC sources stress the offer is final - and while it has not yet been agreed, Gillett has not rejected the bid out of hand.

Note earlier post when I said 4-0 and I was correct I know just how crap we really are!

But you lost that bet with your friend about Torres scoring two, he scored three ;). I would love to have Fernando Torres babies!

Oh, and Rappy. Just to get it out of the way now...4-0 HA HA!!

Yep I didn't expect anything tho mate from that game, I have a strong feeling the board will seriously look at Curbs now and wonder whether that seat could be warmed by someone else.

Not many teams come to Anfield and expect to get anything, so don't be to down hearted.

It is an interesting situation about Curbs, I mean West Ham are 10th in the league and West Ham are at the bottom of the two mini leagues that the league seems to splitting into. You have the likes of Man City and Aston Villa above you, and do you really think you will oust them with the limited resources you have? If Curbs was to go, who would you be your first choice replacement Damien?

Yeah I mean at the moment the morale with West Ham is naturally low if you look at past results Fulham we beat 1-0 with a lucky Solano goal but the posession and actual game was equal up to that point then Chelsea stuffed us at home where we could of got something even when Chelsea had 10 men, then Liverpool where we lost 4-0 where really its clearly obvious we would lose so down heartened isnt the word I would use I would say expecting it was the word I would use. In the January window we could of bought but no Curbs rather just kept the has beens and crappy players at the club and didn't buy anyone and now thats coming back to bite him in the ass. As for new manager I think theres alot of good choices out there but I think foreign would be the way to go who I don't know but I seriously think they need to look at the club we maybe 8 points clear at 10th but its worrying we can't score or get anything from anything.

I found this on SSN and I thought it was worth posting what Gollum said...

Everton manager David Moyes has aimed a swipe at local rivals Liverpool saying he expected them to win the title - or at least finish runners-up - this season.

Just hours after returning from the disappointment of losing an Uefa Cup tie to Fiorentina Moyes has to turn his attention immediately to the race for fourth spot in the Premier League.

Everton are at struggling Sunderland on Sunday but Moyes heaped more pressure on Liverpool - who moved into fourth by beating West Ham 4-0 in midweek - by underlining the Reds' underachievement this campaign.

The Scot, named Barclays manager of the month for February, insists fourth place for Liverpool is a failure for the Anfield club.

Success

"I thought Liverpool would finish first or second this season with the additions they made; I felt they would come very close to winning the championship," said Moyes. "I think that it cannot be seen as success if Liverpool finish fourth, if Everton finish fourth then that is success.

"But it cannot be seen as success for them. Not for a side who set out to win the title or certainly come second.

"They have spent accordingly to win the title, so for them not to qualify for the Champions League is a serious problem, while it would not be for us.

"We don't budget for that - maybe in the future we might - but not at present.

"We can't really be expected to finish above Liverpool, they are the favourites.

"So if you'd said to me that with 10 games to go we would be level on points with them and they would only be ahead on goal difference I would have certainly taken that situation.

Race

"I don't even think it is a two-horse race. Aston Villa, Portsmouth, Blackburn and Manchester City can do it. We have been on a terrific run but so have the rest.

"There have not been many defeats for that group so I believe it will go all the way to the wire.

"Maybe somebody can win seven of the 10 and that would put them right in their with a chance.

"We relish the opportunity to try to prove we can be as good or close to the so-called bigger teams. We have done it before, it is not new to us."

...and no wonder everyone calls them the bitters. They are OBSESSED with Liverpool FC. If it goes wrong for Everton, it is all Everton's fault. His side just lost in "Europe" and the first thing he says is about Liverpool.

A few days to late

He is just rubbing it in ;)

i want to play Newcastle and West Ham every week!

good game until Gerrard and Torres came off, then it went pretty stale.

25 this season for Torres. In his FIRST season, yet Ronaldo is getting all the applause, git!

ha.

Kuyt, Voronin(who i hate), and Crouch really need to step up now, otherwise we might be able to blag funding for another Torres-like-Striker to get us another 20 goals.

And poor old Newcastle, hahaha.oh deary me, they're defence, is abysmal, definitley the worst in recent seasons, i'd rather have a Derby back 4 than the Newcastle "defence".

speaking of sleeping with Torres etc

i was messaging my mate on facebook:

"wooopa 3-0 to liverpool at the moment, amazing. i would actually sleep with Fernando Torres!"

he is amazing

would of liked another hat trick, would of got me back up the table on fantasy football.

haha.

come on barnsley!
