FC Porto 1 - 1 Liverpool

Marseille 2 - 0 Besiktas

Chelsea 1 - 1 Rosenborg

Schalke 0 - 1 Valencia

Olympiakos Piraeus 1 - 1 Lazio

Real Madrid 2 - 1 Werder Bremen

AC Milan 2 - 1 Benfica

Shakhtar Donetsk 2 - 0 Celtic

way to go Rosenborg :)

Watched the Liverpool game, and have to say Pennant is a plonker! Why he decided to do that tackle in that area is beyond me.

Either way it was pretty lackluster from the British Sides. I think Celtics away record has been pretty bad for the last few years. I remember hearing the last time they won an away match it was in the old format of the Champions League. Don't quote me on that though.

Yeah i agree. I thought the first tackle he did was a Yellow but not the 2nd which got him sent off but it was bound to get his marching orders as he was just so fierce. Refs in europe are very strict though. I thought Liverpool were not great last night which is a shame but i am sure we will be much better against Marseille in two weeks time. Still a point was a good result on the night away from home.

Especially since the start they had. A point is good, but it was crucial not to lose away from home if you have any chance of progressing.

The penalty was a bit stupid aswell. When will the refs wake up. It is acceptable in Spain and what not but we in England clamp down on it. Sort of defeats the point of clamping down on divers. It is an unfair advantage. I believe that is why England never do well in the World Cup or Euro's. Look at the Portugal game and Rooney should have went down from the tackle, instead he stayed on his feet and got send off!

I did think Reina came out and got none of the ball which why it was a penalty, but i have seen some of them not given. I mean if you want a joke of a penalty just look at the one given against Liverpool when they played Chelsea a few weeks ago.

Well if you are talking about the England team, then i have to say they are seriously overhyped. Ok we do have some good players which was english based, but as a whole England in my eyes, will not win the World Cup or the Euro Cup for along time to come. We have a collective groups on Individuals and not a team.

Liverpool where shocking last night, we just could not get going. Porto stopped us playing which is normally what we try and do to other teams, so credit to them for that. I think the penalty decision was correct, but I am starting to get annoyed at the amount of penalties we are giving away...four in eight games so far, but our record still remains that we have not conceded a goal from open play so far this season :D

1-1 away to Porto in a Champions League game is a good result though!

Barcelona 3 - 0 Lyon

Rangers 2 - 1 Stuttgart

AS Roma 2 - 0 Dynamo Kyiv

Sporting Lisbon 0 - 1 Manchester U.

Fenerbahce 1 - 0 Inter Milan

PSV Eindhoven 2 - 1 CSKA Moscow

Arsenal 2 - 0 Sevilla

Slavia Prague 2 - 1 Steaua Bucuresti

FENERBAH?E!:))

i agree, we gave porto the first half. pennant played a real indesciplined game. Maybe the last yellow he got wasn't deserveing but everything he did before was deserving of one. It was funny how Liverpool didnt' really pick up the offense until they were down 10 men, and Kuyt's goal was really nice :)

I saw all 94 minutes of Liverpool's game and taking away the last 5 minutes of the game, Liverpool looked abysmal, out of character, and just not motivated. Marseille was all over the ball throughout the good part of the 85 minutes and the Liverpool players were too predictable and not inspired compared to the French team.

Congrats to Marseille on a beautiful goal that honestly, they deserved.

I still am surprised that Olympiakos came back from 0-1 at the half to win 3-1.

Good day of soccer
