Ayepecks
For some reason these updates seemed to decrease my performance in Half-Life 2 on my laptop. On my desktop I can't tell because I don't remember the FPS I got before installing them. Seems about the same there. wd40
You do know that these are Beta Patches? The Final Patches are due on Patch Tue. 14 Aug. They are official today, not patch Tuesday because this is a "Vista Performance and Reliability Pack". Not all updates come out on patch Tuesday. Ayepecks
I'm really not noticing any performance enhancements what-so-ever. File copying, gaming graphic quality, startup... nothin'. Express
^^Its the same for me too. No perf improvement. Then again Vista has always been reliable and I never had any of the perf problems described in the KB article.
