[Official] Doctor Who Thread

Recommended Posts

First - AWESOME episode. I loved it, and can't wait to see how it ends this Friday.

Secondly, uh, isn't Jason Statham like, American? I mean, sure that isn't such a problem if he can do a Britsh accent, but come on, Doctor Who is British for god's sake. Unless I'm wrong and Jason is actually from the UK (or Europe in general and can do the accent properly?)

I just honestly cannot see anyone replacing David. He's been the best doctor yet by far, even more so than my former favorite Mr. Scarf man himself. I just really can't see anyone else in the role now. Then again I felt the same way about Pierce Brosnan as Bond (not that he was awesome in the role, but I liked him) and Casino Royale was a damn fine Bond movie. (Plus, I thought Timothy Dalton was an awesome Bond, but what do I know?)

No... he was born in London he's actually played some great roles in English(London) based movies :woot:

This doesn't answer your question as I couldn't find the answer but maybe its an authentication code.

I thought it was a sign of respect.

Plus I have not seen a translator anywhere and really its not important to the episode at the moment, take it on face value they were going to attack Doctor and Donna but didn't when he quoted that so its like a password or passphrase.

Begbie as the Doctor?

I wouldn't mind, I like Robert. He could perhaps settle down in wales and do some doctor who, but could mean some nice drama and nice scripts with him as the doctor.

I have a feeling it will be Rose as Dalek Caan predicts death to "The Doctors most faithfull companion" and I see no reason why that would be Donna.

Surely the most faithfull companion is K9 (a Time Lord's best friend!)?

The wasn't the last episode of the season was it? Seems odd he's regenerating mid-season.. unless he's not going to show up next episode.

Not the first time there has been a mid-series regeneration - The Tenth Planet was the second story of series 4 and saw the First Doctor's renewal into the Second Doctor...

They put him up there because of how quirky he was in Jonathan Creek.

Which is rumoured for a comback this Xmas - he may be too busy to take over...

Sacrilege! Tom Baker is the best doctor, ever :(

LOC may have meant Sylvestor McCoy who also had a scarf... :p

Remember that another David, who also shares a pretty similer name as a Neil from Men Behaving Badly, stars in the christmas episode. Now I'd love him as a full time doctor.

Alan Davis won't be bad, the xmas ep for his show is probably filming at the moment. He could do a run for a few years.

Just watching some show on BBC2 with Graham Norton, and James Nesbitt more or less confirmed that he won't be the next doctor.

Catherine Tate said that the Doctor is definitely regenerating at the end of the last episode.

Its clear he is just healing with regard to the christmas special which daily mail spoiled.

Good point.

Came across this on Youtube, haven't seen it before. Some funny parts in it.

The BBC have just announced that after tonight's showing of The Weakest Link, they will cease broadcasting forever. All scheduled programming after that will be moved to their pay for service online.

I wish they would stop airing Weakest Link that and Deal or No Deal they have now well past their good times.
