I want to love this but worry that if I do then this really makes him a steriotypical TV go between, its like they made the dress sense even reflect it.  But then maybe he didn't have time to find his identity, just because he looks older I would assume a life lived but he could have only recently regenerated this way and then died.

In the latest issue of DWM, Moffat says: ?Pretty soon [Peter] will arrive and he?ll be whisked off to begin the trip of a lifetime, probably wondering what it will be like, where it will take him, and how long it will last. And about then, Matt Smith will be standing in his TARDIS for the very last time, with his eyes on the studio door ? because about to step through is a Scottish actor, dressed as him.?

So another regeneration in the TARDIS then, by the sounds of it.

In another recent interview Moffat spoke about Capaldi?s first scene following the regeneration: ?It?s utterly bonkers! He still thinks he?s Matt Smith, but he looks like he?s Peter Capaldi. He?s adjusting to who he is. It?s a transitional phase.?

No footage from the "Day of the Doctor" though

A specially created trailer celebrating the last 50 years of Doctor Who will air tonight on BBC One, as an exclusive image is revealed today featuring the 11 Doctors.

A huge moment for the BBC, the 50th celebrations will culminate with the special episode, ?The Day of the Doctor?, starring Matt Smith, David Tennant and Jenna Coleman with Billie Piper and John Hurt. A whole range of shows have also been commissioned across TV and radio to mark the anniversary.

The minute long trailer will air after Strictly Come Dancing tonight on BBC One and will be also be available on www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho

Amendment: BBC notes that this does not include any actual footage of the 50th anniversary episode, The Day of the Doctor.

I think we might see maybe 1 or 2 scenes, but the lack of trailers in a way is good makes it more of a great episode when it airs
