Chad
Tennessee vs. PhiladelphiaSan Francisco vs. Oakland Heh. Yeah dude those games aren't possible. An NFC team (Phil, SF) won't play an AFC team (Tenn, Oak) until the super bowl. I'm suprised everyone picked sf over tampa. Being a SF fan, that's fine with me. SF over TB Phil over Atlanta Oakland over NY Pitt over Tenn SF over Phil Oak over Pitt SF over Oak in Superbowl Course I'm going to pick my team. Oakland would slaughter the 49ers this year. And have bragging rights for a century at least. Bring em on, if you can even get there. No come backs in this game. No Sirree! Don
niners won when the raiders played them, and they didnt have to come back, they were winning pretty much the whole game, raiders ALMOST came back and won it when the niners missed the feild goal, but, the niners got the well deserved win. im not saying raiders couldnt beat them in the super bowl, but I highly doubt they would slaughter them, I think it would be a great game. sp00nman
You guys make me laugh... San Fran over Philadelphia? Anyone else remember the Monday Night romping that the Eagles put on the 49ers several weeks ago? I believe it ended 35-14 or something like that. Well, maybe that one is reasonable... but not this: Tampa Bay over Philadelphia?!?!!? Um... ok, obviously people here dont know much about football. Philly has beaten Tampa in 4 straight games, 3 in which were playoff games where Tampa failed to score one touchdown. Atlanta over Philly? I dont know... the only way the Eagles are going to lose is if they beat themselves. No one is going to come to the Vet in the playoffs and just "crush" the Eagles. Either a close upset or a win for the Eagles... the odds are the Eagles will go all the way and see either the Titans or Raiders. MLapointe
As far as the bucs go. Fact #1 our defence was very bad the last two years. And so was our offence. People live in the past. When have two new receivers that can get off the line now whereas Green and Anthony could not. We have Chucky as our coach now and our defence is the best that it's ever been. Do you want to know why. Take a look at the Colts game and everyone knows why know. Tony Dungy is doing to the colts what he did to the bucs. As crazy as this sounds we (the bucs) scored more points than the colts did this regular season. Tony Dungy took the second best offensive team in the NFL last year and dungyfied them where they scored less points this season than our so called "worst offence in the leage" Bucs. Our point difference is one of the best in the leage where we almost score twice as much as we give up. Our first game of the season bucs fans were expecting to lose because of the new offensive system but this game was still a close game. Brad Johnson was playing with a broken rib in the Eagles game. Now our offense with Brad can't be that bad when in Brad's last 5 starts he had 15TDs with only 1 INT. And we won all 5 of those games. Then he got hurn again and we lost another game. The colts got their buts shut out and in our four losses we never got beat that bad. This is a different team with a different offense. Nobody thought Green Bay could lose in Green Bay but they did just like the Eagles could lose in Philly. The bucs finished 12-4 (a franchise record) and we won our first game below 40 degrees with Rob Johnson and nobody thought that could ever happen. But it did happen because we are a different team. For the people who say that the Eagles can't lose because there playing in Philly just look at that Green Bay game. People are always comparing our offence when it plays bad (which has always been when either Rob Johnson or Shawn King have started and played) and never comparing how well our offense plays with Brad Johnson. People don't remember Brad playing a bad game because he hasn't played a bad game. Here's another big difference between a dungy team and a Gruden team. If you look at last years seasons game scores you will notice that a dungy team has a bunch of very close games that we have both lost and won. Now if you look at this season with a Gruden team you will notice that we have very few close games. We only had one close game that we won and that was against the Panthers. I'll post this for you. The main thing is this we haven't lost the games that we should win like we did with Dungy. Dungy Team Stats at Dallas W 10-6 Bye at Minnesota L 16-20 Green Bay W 14-10 at Tennessee L 28-31 Pittsburgh L 10-17 Minnesota W 41-14 at Green Bay L 20-21 at Detroit W 20-17 Chicago L 24-27 at St. Louis W 24-17 at Cincinnati W 16-13 Detroit W 15-12 at Chicago L 3-27 New Orleans W 48-21 Baltimore W 22-10 Philadelphia L 13-17 Gruden Team Stats New Orleans L 20-26 at Baltimore W 25-0 St. Louis W 26-14 at Cincinnati W 35-7 at Atlanta W 20-6 Cleveland W 17-3 at Philly L 10-20 (not a blowout) (with Brad Johnson breaking his rib in 1st quarter and playing the rest of the game) at Carolina W 12-9 (Brad Johnson did not play) Minnesota W 38-24 Carolina W 23-10 (Brad Johnson played) Green Bay W 21-7 @ New Orleans L 20-23 (we know now that the Saints luck run out and knocked them out of the playoffs and they weren't just lucky with us) Atlanta W 34-10 at Detroit W 23-20 (Brad Johnson didn't start this game) Pittsburgh L 7-17 (Brad Johnson also didn't start this game) at Chicago W 15-0 (without Brad Johnson and our first win below 40 degrees) So we see this now Dungy Team Wins decided by less than 5 points = 5 Losses decided by less than 5 points = 5 Games won by => 10 points = 3 Games losses by => 10 points = 1 ( lost by 24 points) Gruden Team Wins decides by less than 5 points = 2 Losses decided by less than 5 points = 1 Games won by => 10 points = 10 Games Losses by => 10 points = 2 (we lost each game by exacly 10 points (10-20 and 7-17) With Gruden we cut out Dungys close games that are decide by 5 points for less from 10 games too 3 games. With Gruden we cut out dungys streak of winning 3 games by 10 or more points to winning 10 games by more than 10 points. Elite Guard
Divisional Playoffs Pittsburgh over Tennessee Philadelphia over Atlanta Tampa Bay over San Francisco Oakland over N.Y. Jets Conference Championships Oakland over Pittsburgh Philadelphia over Tampa Bay Super Bowl Oakland over Philadelphia Pro Bowl AFC over NFC BTW- the only reason the Bucs won in under 40 degrees was because they were playing the Bears, who were full of injuries. Had there not been so many injuries to the Bears, they would have whooped the Bucs 57-0 in Week 17 on there way to a Super Bowl victory over the Raiders. MLapointe
hey if I had Brad Johnson and the Bears didn't have injuries we still would of kicked their butts. How the heck can you be 12-4 and be a poopty team. Hey Green Bay and Philly are also 12-4 so are you going to say that Green Bay and Philly are poopty too. Or what most people would say is that Philly and Green Bay are great and Tampa Bay is still poopty. Green Bay won against 4 teams above 500 Tampa Bay won against 4 teams above 500 too Philly won against 5 teams above 500. Not much difference here. How would Green Bay be so much better than Tampa Bay. Oh and teams below 500 like Chicage you cannot say if they didn't have injuries they would go the the SuperBowl. That's just childish. Look at the Rams they have all of that talent with little injuries overall and look at them. We the bucs had Brad Johnson injured where neither Rob nor Shawn could perform. We had Booger injured. We had lynch out for a game. We had players that got hurt and we are still a 12-4 team. That's what makes a football team good. I'm sorry if the Bears don't have as good of backups as we do. That's football. If your a team and your wide receiver or quarterback get's hurt and you can't win than you will never be a winning team without them. We the Bucs can have Brad Johnson go down and still be able to win. Oh and I don't care what you think but a Green Bay offense can't score 50+ points against our defense how do you think the Bears can score that. We are the #1 defense in the NFL and it's in Black and White so you are just being childish making excuses for why you hate Tampa Bay. Hey we lost Brad Johnson but we didn't make excuses for losing. We made excuses for not scoring as much points. Also in Brad Johnsons last 5 starts he had the best touchdown : INT ratio in the NFL. In those 5 games no other quaterback in the NFL had a ratio of 15 TDs and 1 INT in those same five weeks. Oh Atlanta's Michael Vick got outrushed by Brad Johnson on October 6 in our 20-6 win. Which means that we contained the most talked about quaterback in the NFL. If we can contain a quaterback like Michael Vick and beat Atlanta 20-6 how do you think Chicage would beat us with no injuries. We beat Atlanta when they had no injuries. We lost against Philly when brad played with a broken Rib which is no excuse. Also Philly played us with a week off from their buy with a hurt Brad Johnson and still only lost by 10 points (20-10). If Philly was that great and we were that bad with Brad Johnson being hurt they should of beat us with a final score of 59-10 but no they only scored 20 total points and didn't blow us out. How can you be saying that were that bad to lose to Chicago. What world are you living in. Our two worst games we only lost by exactly 10 points by the Eagles and the Steelers. We were never blown out of any game. Oh and I don't care what you say but if you are going to say that 10 points is a blowout than you are crazy. We lost 4 games and so did Philly and Green Bay. That's football you win some and you lose some. A superbowl team shouldn't lose games they should win. Elite Guard
A Super Bowl team shouldn't be limited to field goals against the Bears! So the Bucs are NOT going to the Super Bowl. hey if I had Brad Johnson and the Bears didn't have injuries we still would of kicked their buttsYou don't own the Bucs. The Bears players are better than the Buc players.-Brad Johnson is good I'll give you that, but Jim Miller isn't bad. -Pittman is nothing, he doesn't put up near as good of numbers as Anthony Thomas did before IR -Alstott is just a fumbling machine -The Bears O line is waaaay better with Kruetz, Colombo & Villarrial compared to the no shows on the Buc line -The Bucs Tight Ends are better than the Bears. But that's about it -Terrell and Booker are about even with Keyshawn and McCardell, but again the bears players are better -Warren Sapp may be good, but Ted Washington is the best DT in the league -I don't even need to compare Urlacher to the Bucs MLBs -The Bucs OLBs are better than the Bears with Brooks, but not that much better -RW McQuarters and Jerry Azumah combined are better than Ronde Barber and whoever else does CB for TB -Mike Brown and John Lynch are the two best safeties in the NFC, but Brown is better -And Edinger is better than that weirdo Martiin Gramatica Hey Green Bay and Philly are also 12-4 so are you going to say that Green Bay and Philly are poopty too Although I do not know what 'poopty' is, I am going to assume that it means bad. But since I am not talking about the Packers or Eagles it is irrelevant. And they have had more winning seasons that the Bucs. The Bears are known for having great teams, all the Bucs are known for is the worst record in NFL history in the 70s and AGAIN, YOU do not own the Bucs, nor or you on the team... MLapointe
I originally said shi**ty buy it was changes to poopty. Funny. You are totally full of yourself. The Bucs front four is the best in the leage. This defense is the best in the leage. There's nothing you can say or do to deny that. They didn't get the best defense in the leage from one great game they got it from 16 games. Plus I don't give a rat's a** what the Bucs or anyone else has done in the 70s or 80's or 90's. I guess you are too stupid to realize that times do and always will change from the statement you made about the bucs in the 70s. Also in the 70s, 80s and most of the 90s the NFL was like baseball is now. While the Yankees and about 3 other teams spend 150 million per year per team while every other team spends 20 million. How could the bucs compete with Dallas and Green Bay when they spent 4 times as much money as the bucs could spend. Just stupid stupid comments your making. While MLB ratings and attendance are going down NFL ratings and attendance are going up. Since every team has a minimum and maximum cap every team can now compete with other teams as opposed to always having Dallas or Green Bay winning the superbowl. You tell Sapp and those guys in their faces what you think about them and I bet they will tackle you as* on the spot. Because I and everyone else know that what you are saying is full of sh*t. Why don't you back up your mouth with facts because everyone can run their mouth but it takes a real man to run his mouth with facts and as far as I can tell you are not acting like a real man. You can talk the talk but you can't walk the walk. I bet everyone else around you has argued with you on various subjects because if you talk to others like you are talking to me than I bet you don't have many true friends or you have freinds who can't stand to listen to you. One of these days you will wake up out of the past and into reality. Hope it's soon for your sake. I guess all of the bears players are way better than the bucs but somehow the bucs ended up with a bye and the bears didn't even get into the playoffs. WOW that's really amazing. The bears are known as having good teams and the bucs are not. We'll times are changing now aren't they. Now the bucs have been known to have good seasons while the bears are not. Here's the funny thing about that. The Bears are going to continue to get worse while the bucs are going to continue to get better. Oh and if you were to bet on these games I'm pretty sure you would lose lots and lots of money. The odds makers in Vegas know what there talking about and you don't. Enough said. I'm in no way saying the bucs will win or even get to the superbowl but they have just as much of a chance as Philly and Green Bay and let's just say god knows how much of a better chance that the bears. The bears would have to pull a rabbit out of their as*es to pull it off and in my opinion if they can't get into the playoffs than I wouldn't count on them with the rabbit trick.
