0 SirEvan
make your background red, then just create that shape in PS, dupliucate it like 20 times, and use the transform tool to rotate it around the axis of the middle. 0 MasterC
You can make the rays effect a couple of different ways. You can use some ray brushes from a set called "Rising Sun." (You can find them on DeviantArt. The second way is a little longer, but it gives the same effect. First you need to open up a transparent document bigger than the final piece. Then, use the rectangular marquee tool to draw a vertical rectangle the full height of the document on the very left side. Then, fill it with whatever color you want. Duplicate it, and move it over to the right so it has the same spacing as its width. Merge it down, duplicate it again, and keep moving it over so the width is the same as the bars. Once you get all the way across, merge the layers so you have just one. Then, go to Filter -> Distort -> Polar Coordinates, make sure Rectangular to Polar is checked. Press OK, and you'll have the rays. For the red background, all it is is a radial gradient with red and light red. Sorry if it sounds a little confusing, but I hope it helps! 0 dykemike
I found what I needed thanks. The Rising Sun action worked, but this website had a brush that worked better in my application. Those are the brushes I mentioned - they work well, don't they (Y) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/602786-how-do-i-make-this-effect-in-photoshop/#findComment-589013880 Share on other sites
