I think you need to keep in mind the markets aimed for.

If you look at 'out of the box' settings, its pretty obvious NAV is aimed at home users (ie:it comes pretty well configured), where as VS products arn't really setup at all.

Then look at the range of server AV clients offered by McAfee, and their ePolicy Orchestrator, etc.

Its quite hard to fairly compair via a poll like this, but I know if I had a choice of trusting something designed for corporations, or home users, I'd chose the former.

Look at win98 compaired to winNT. qed :)

I don't use one at all for 2 years now and still haven't gotten any viruses.... i guess i'm lucky huh. I do install one every now and then and do a full system scan and then uninstall it. I use NAV when i do....but it's only on my system for 20 mins and then gone. It just takes up memory (even though i got 768) but it's wasted space if you ask me. You don't use an AV all the time so why have it there all the time.

McAfee AND NAV sux a**. If you want a really fast virus scanner that takes almost no memory AND finds virii that McAfee and NAV cannot, then get AntiVirus EXpert Professional(AVX). I have tried all of the antivirus programs that are offered, and AVX is by FAR the only one worth using.

Good luck!
