I've never had the courage to post here as my desk isn't up to the likes of others, but I think it can now hold its ground without being embarrassed by the more advance desks posted here :p !

My workstation, on the left is my Sony Ericsson HBH-DS980 Bluetooth headphones and my Sony Ericsson Walkman W850i. My most recent purchase is the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller:

With the lid down. You can see my Altec Lansing speakers, which are (really, really) old, but hey, they work fine for me :p ! Also shown is my CD/DVD carrying case and Cooler Master pouch for the harddrive:

Left side of my workstation, shown at the bottom is my father's very, very old Packard Bell (Celeron 466MHz, 128MB of RAM :p ). Also shown is his 19" Acer Widescreen monitor, which is connected to his Mac Mini:

Right side of my workstation. The chair is actually a garden chair but it serves my purpose really well  !

Oh, and before someone says it's too neat, I'm a very, very, VERY neat person. Comes with having a nurse for a mother :p !

Scirwode

where do you get that screensaver from?

PolarClock

You can change the font size, placement, colour and a lot more.

I like the polar clock but ...from this guy website:

" Warning

Some people have reported that the rings of the clock burn into their screens. I have not seen this as an issue, but I suspect that is because my monitor is set to sleep 15 minutes after the screen saver starts, so there isn’t sufficient time to do any damage. So I’d suggest that you do the same on your set up."

Not exactly right. I thought the same until my Samsung LCD TV (LE-27S71B) started to show "burn-ins" 6 months after I bought it. Difference is: It's called image sticking instead of burn-in. This effect results from polarization of the crystal (after a static image remained too long on the display), not allowing it to return to its relaxed state. Don't get me wrong. This effect definitely isn't common in modern LCDs but it can happen.

Anything else I could improve?

I know other people have better cases than me with more "bling bling" but I'm quite happy how this turned out. Cable management on this case is okay I guess, they now ship with 3 holes precut. I think the previous versions didn't.

Also have some other stuff as listed in my sig not in the pics.

Nice setup, same as mine :)

I have the green cathode ray awaiting to be placed inside, but I don't really like the mix with the blue and green :?

I don't really buy into the whole thing about getting cases with windows and colored LEDs and whatever else....I just have a stock Dell PowerEdge 400SC case with a few mods and a lot of upgrades.

My main setup:

2.8GHz HT P4 with 2GB RAM and various other upgrades. This thing is coming up on five years old and has served me quite well. I won't be replacing it unless I start doing heavy gaming or graphics work that requires a more powerful processor...or I'm forced to upgrade to Vista.

Also in the pic is my work laptop, which is a Dell Latitude D620 with something like a 1.6GHz Core Duo and 1GB RAM. It's not a bad machine, but the stock image that my company loads on it really kills performance due to a lot of background processes.

My secondary laptop:

...a heavily modded 466MHz clamshell iBook G3. I use it mostly for chatting - even browsing is slow on that thing, and flash-based stuff like YouTube doesn't work at all. It lives on my coffee table almost exclusively.

And the rest of my work area:

I have a friend who salvages hardware from his office a lot, and he had an extra LaserJet 2100tn that he wasn't using, so I finally have a printer with JetDirect. The cart is full of components from clamshell and 12" iBook G3s that I'm in the process of assembling for sale on eBay.

Yay.
