We have Venturier with a $199 feature-complete 1080i HD-DVD player and we will have Funai with a $300 Profile 1.1 1080p Blu-Ray player. By the time this Funai player comes out, their is a slight chance that the Venturier player will get down in price, maybe to $179 or lower... So even if the Funai is $249, it's still higher than the HD-DVD player. Unless Toshiba decide to put the A3 full time at $99 ( no black friday / boxing day sale only ). Those are the cheapest HD player we will have for a while. And hopefull its not $299, but maybe $250. Anytime they say "Sub-$XXX", it's a few cents less. :laugh: If it were $250, they'd say so. thollian Posted January 8, 2008 Share Posted January 8, 2008 well I just got back from Sams Club and they had the Toshiba HD-A3 for $178(USA) and you get 2 free movies included, plus the 5 by mail.....if only blu-ray could do that....
