Your router needs to support UPnP, an it needs to be enabled for that to show up.. You would also want to install the UPnP interface..

There is really little use for it IMHO, just forward the traffic you want using the routers interface.

But to install the UPnP interface.. Use add remove, windows components

The SSDP service must also be running to discover the UPnP device, etc.

Also if your using a 3rd party software firewall, you need to make sure it allows for UPnP which would be UDP 1900, TCP 2869 -- if using sp1 or less, I think it used tcp 5000 instead of 2869?

You need to make sure that UPnP is enabled on the router, also it can take a few minutes to show up.. Its a discovery process, its might not happen instant.. But if UPnP is not enabled on your router -- then it will not show up period ;)

Some routers have it enabled by default, some do not -- IMHO its should be DISABLED by default, the user should have to be aware that something like that is running or not.. So it should be OFF by default, an the owner of the router should have to purposely enable it.

Look to your routers manual for its UPnP support an if its on or not.. Also -- for your machine to find the router, any software firewall you might be running on your machine needs to allow for the traffic.

edit: btw telling us your router is a d-link is useless - you think they only make 1? ;) What is the MODEL Number on the other had would allow us to look up the manual an point you to the how UPnP, etc.
