You disagree with me on my general point? ; because what I said is true in that he effectively got a life sentence unless he lives to a really old age. so what's face palm worthy on what I said?

but most likely you face palmed me because because I mentioned 'God'. but if you have any half way decent understanding of Jesus Christ, <babble>

At a guess, I'd say the facepalm had nothing to do with his understanding of your superstitious belief, but the mere raising of it in the topic at all.  Probably best to keep that nonsense personal and avoid telling people your "truths", lest they ridicule you for holding them.

or another way to look at it... if someone lives with genuine hate/rage in their hearts and never forgives, that will just eat at the person who fails to forgive and just cause more harm. note: I understand the victims of R Kelly obviously won't like him, I get that, as I am not suggesting they like the guy. but if they have a full-on hate of him for the rest of their lives, it's just going to harm themselves further. it's in their interest to forgive and let it go as best as they can (I get they will still have plenty of emotional trauma and all though). I think you get my general point here.

Some things cannot be forgiven, and should not be.  Some hurts cannot be healed and Kelly's victims have to live with the memories of what he did to them forever.  Do not judge someone for something you cannot, and hopefully never will, comprehend.  It may well be that it's the only way for them to move on with their lives, but it's not for you to decide that for them.

It's been shown many many times that the death sentences costs the taxpayer WAY more than a life sentence does.  Plus, why give the guy the hope of relief from his punishment?

I don't think death is a relief....

But I did not know the system is such that death penalty takes forever in courts and costs more. (Though not way more but comparable... Based on my first google result about studies done.... If so DP might still be worth it)

It's only more expensive because it's been legislated into that corner. But I digress.
