I'd like to see them add support for other formats, specialy in the library. Why should all my mp4 and mkv files showup under "other" that makes me have to switch from one listing with all the .avi/wmv to another just to see the rest. And i'm getting even more and more mkv files as time passes.

Having to do a registry hack just to get WMP to show them in the first place under "other" is a pain.

The DirectShow filter you had to install to get them to play probably should have made that registry entry. I'd blame them.

wmp11 is alright on Vista but looks awkward on XP

agree to that,.... besides... why do i have to install like 100 codec packages very time i format my computer... just sign a contract with one of them and help us relax MS

I personally like WMP 11, though my favorite of all time is 8! Remeber 8? The one that was on XP for like a month before 9 replaced it! Most people probably never even heard of it, since by the time that the majority went to XP from 2000 or 98, WMP 9 was already everywhere!
