1Frothy
Thanks for the review :) You're welcome (Y) I wish Microsoft waited to ship Windows Vista until this milestone. Seems Bill Gates might just feel the same way. :p

1Frothy
I have also tested Bioshock and Crysis, both games are running well. Both feel more responsive and smoother with this latest (and last?) RC version of Vista SP1. So far nothing but (Y) for Vista SP1 Refresh.

kazuyette
Can be downloaded publicly @x86: http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/0...0-wave1-X86.exe x64: http://download.microsoft.com/download/0/2...0-wave1-X64.exe This could be it since the public RC weights around 436megs and wave1 weights 548megs. Tyke
IIRC you'll need to reboot again after you uninstall the SP to remove the "Evaluation Copy" from your Desktop. There appears to be no desktop reminder on the refresh, and no expiry date! Just rebooted and the reminder and expiry date reappeared!! Eric Veteran Posted January 10, 2008 Veteran Share Posted January 10, 2008 Curious, why is this? The EFI partition has lots of low-level hardware drivers. Windows wouldn't be able to use the Mac ones.
Maximum Error
Managed to get it installed. Decided not to go the clean install route but instead went through and uninstalled the old version then installed this version. Whole process took 4 hours but surprisingly didnt break anything. Everything seems to be working well but having used the public release for so long now i cant actually see any differences between that one and this 'new' refresh! Anyone else found any differences?
