The last Windows build released to testers, in my memory, has never been the final one. There's always something a little later. As mentioned above, so far at least, this is a WU-only test, even for testers. And WU, given you've run the previously published script and follow the bouncing ball in the procedure, is technically (if not officially) open to everyone. It should work right now for anyone. ady199 Posted January 25, 2008 Share Posted January 25, 2008 Just finished installing - Builld Number in Winver, now just shows Build 6001: Service Pack 1 - Doesn't seem to have a time bomb - Also no Watermark on the desktop. Managed to get it installed and its looking liek this is final code just put out to test before the official release. No mention of a evaluation and it has got rid of the version number in computer properties etc and just says "Service Pack 1"..... looks like we're a step closer to a final, public release!
