RIAA: Anti-Virus Software Should Filter Pirated Content

Recommended Posts

Uhh thats out of their business what gets blocked by AV...

Also, piraters will just not install that AV... It's not complicated. And if they do that, they'd have to include an option to NOT block it otherwise it will completely be against freedoms. Also, How do you "block" pirated content? It's a program/mp3 file/movie file...

Also, if the AV is pirated... Thats just a little irony there! :D

Most piraters use pirated AV so that'll go well...

RIAA doesn't know what to do anymore and everyday they look more and more stupid and desperate for their evergrowing money hunger.

If you guys hate the RIAA, it's pretty simple, don't buy their music, or buy just individual tunes online from Amazon or iTunes who sell drm-free songs.

Most artists out there make almost nothing on albums. Their profits are from concerts/events and other activities or services and products made by them, not by their recording companies.

There's no way that the RIAA is doing all of this to protect its artists and whoever believes this should stop.

how would the AV see if the thing is pirated or not?
good luck ID'ing what is and isn't illegal software/media via software :)

yep, i have no clue how they would plan on doing this, all it would do is add an extra step for the people uploading.

run >> stripcopywriteid.exe >> complete >> upload.
