Batch Album Cover Art Downloader?

Question

Hi all, I'm looking for an efficient way to add cover art to my albums. I have a few thousand albums organized in different folders (D:\Music\Genre\Artist\Album), so doing it manually will be pretty difficult.

I want to add the cover art to the folder (as jpg), not embed it into each song's id3 tag.

FixTunes, Album Art Downloader and Album Cover Art Downloader either didn't add anything at all or required me to manually select an image for each album.

WMP only recognizes about 20% of my albums. As far as I can tell, my id3 tags are accurate so I'm not sure why WMP is missing so many.

iTunes seems to store covers all in one folder. That's useless to me, as I don't use it for music (I only use it to buy TV episodes, audiobooks, etc.)

Any suggestions? Thanks :)

As I mentioned in my first post, this app required too much interaction from me to be useful for the volume of albums I'm dealing with.

Do you have an iTunes Store account? If so:

in iTunes, Select All tracks, Right Click, Get Album Artwork

Wait a while.....

Try iTunes Store file validator to export the iTunes artwork in to album folders.

I like to use CD Art Display w/ foobar. I just set it to automatic cover download and let foobar play overnight. By morning a ton of album art will be in-place....that and it looks nice on my desktop ^_^

CD Art Display rocks! Esp. the 2.0 beta that allows for visible player controls, so I can send QMP to the systray and run it on the desktop via CDAD (could do that before, of course, but the invisible buttons were a pain). Thanks for that foobar tip, I bet i can do the same with QMP.

@ thevjm: approximately 5,000 from various artists, so you can see why I don't want to do them individually. :p

@ McoreD: Thanks, I might give that a try also :).
