LOC Veteran Posted August 8, 2010 Veteran Share Posted August 8, 2010 According to a report on PWInsider.com, Ring Of Honor (ROH) world champion Tyler Black has signed a contract to join the active roster in WWE. ROH owner Cary Silkin has declined to comment on whether or not there's any substance to the Black/WWE reports. As soon as more information becomes available, we'll have an update with the details. He wrestles for a month, then takes off for 4 months. Been like that for years now. Not that I blame him mind you. Not to mention, Undertaker is not a mat wrestler, and the others (mostly) are. As for Cena being higher up than the Rock, let's not forget the Rock only "wrestled" for a few years this decade (full time until what, 2002/03?). I'm pretty sure by this point (2010) Cena's a bigger draw, has sold more stuff and all that. Now if you include the mid to late 90's that's another story (maybe). As I said above, notice how Cena is in the "Best wrestler of the decade" line up but not the "Most outstanding wrestler of the decade" line up. Big distinction there. Not that the Rock was a great mat wrestler either :) So, who's ready for Cena to turn heel at SS? LOC Veteran Posted August 13, 2010 Veteran Share Posted August 13, 2010 And another young wrestler dies. Sigh. It's really disgusting at this point to be honest. Not to lessen the fact that Lance died, but I thought some of you might like this podcast from ESPN's Bill Simmons. It's a 50 minute or so discussion with Shawn Michaels. He touches on quite a few things, his retirement, Cena etc. Podcast Linky It's the newest podcast (obviously. Rappy Veteran Posted August 13, 2010 Veteran Share Posted August 13, 2010 Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter The body of Lance Cade (Lance McNaught) was discovered by his father earlier this morning. Multiple sources are indicating heart failure as the cause of death, although nothing is exactly official until the autopsy report comes back in a few weeks. Two family members believed there was something wrong with Cade over the past week, including his wife Tracy who noticed he didn't look healthy and that he was having trouble breathing. Cade was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday night and he was later released on Wednesday. He had asked to be released from the hospital on Wednesday claiming he was fine and felt well. One interesting note is that once he returned home, he later left and never returned. There is a lot of speculation as to where he went and what he got. We're not going to report anything until we can get it absolutely confirmed. It's just not right to speculate so please give us some time to get the facts. His father, Harley McNaught, noticed that Cade showed up at his work on Thursday and was not looking good at all. He later went to Cade's home in San Antonio, TX and discovered he had passed away. Cade was not believed to have been drinking although there may have been other issues. McNaught was a student of Shawn Michaels, who he idolized, and had several runs with WWE since signing with the company in 2000 shortly after finishing his training and working for a promotion run by Michaels in the San Antonio area. He was released from WWE in October 2008 after an incident on an airplane where he had a seizure, believed to have been due to use of either pain killers or muscle relaxers, and had to be taken off the plane. He was then fired. While McNaught was initially upset about his 2008 release, saying others had done worse and not lost their jobs, he eventually came to grips with it in an interview where he said he only had himself to blame. McNaught had two young daughters and a stepson that he's left behind. So sad. On behalf of everyone here on this website we would like to send our condolences to the friends and family of Lance McNaught. Ghost5525
Wow horrible News, i wasn't a big fan of Lance Cade and Trevor Murdock but they were a good tag team and if anyone was going to be the star of that team it would have been Cade. Rappy Veteran Posted August 14, 2010 Veteran Share Posted August 14, 2010 A federal judge sentenced Applied Pharmacy Services supervising pharmacist Michael Bennett to four years in jail on Friday after he was convicted of participating in a nationwide conspiracy to illegally sell anabolic steroids made in Mobile, Alabama. Prosecutors in Albany, NY referred to Bennett and his associates as "drug dealers in lab coats" in a sentencing memorandum. Applied Pharmacy Services clients included TNA star Kurt Angle, former WWE performer Bob Howard (a/k/a Hardcore Holly), UFC fighter Shane Carwin, and several bodybuilders. All three were named as drug recipients in court on Friday. Court documents referenced five other professional wrestlers by their initials only. LOC Veteran Posted August 15, 2010 Veteran Share Posted August 15, 2010 HHH is at the Staples Center apparently for SS events. Whether he shows up on camera (as the leader of Nexus or something else) is another story. The following are some combined messages from the official Twitter account of WWE Superstar John Cena:"CeNation. Staples Center is somber, quiet. Calm before storm. I feel nervous, on edge. I want to thank everyone out there who has supported me over the years, as I feel this is one of the most important days in my career. In closing, I will say that if you do not watch SummerSlam tonight you will be missing an epic day in WWE history." Follow more Cena tweets on Twitter @ JohnCena. TEE HEE Heel Cena YAY. LOC Veteran Posted August 16, 2010 Veteran Share Posted August 16, 2010 Wow, looks like big things are afoot when it comes to Cena, The Miz and HHH (maybe) tonight. As alot of wrestling news sites are reporting creative is torn between turning Cena heel or not, making The Miz a HUGE player tonight and whether to bring HHH back on camera tonight or not. Should be interesting. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/621597-the-big-wrestling-thread/page/129/#findComment-593034728 Share on other sites

Yorak
So far, I feel as if SummerSlam has been a bit of a drag. Very predictable so far. However, if Cena turns heel, that will totally redeem WWE (not that they care about my opinion, lol). I do not think he will though. I am not completely sure what will happen, but I mean look, Cena just came out with a brand new shirt/hat/armbands, etc. That is a pretty silly reason perhaps, but it just leads me to believe he will not be heel. Maybe Morrison? Not sure. HOLY **** DANIEL BRYAN! OMG OMG OMG THIS IS SWEET! LOC Veteran Posted August 16, 2010 Veteran Share Posted August 16, 2010 Wow, WWE sometimes you are just retarded. You have a great storyline going with Nexus, have Daniel Bryan return, everything is going awesome (ha) with the Miz etc etc etc. And then you have SuperCena pull out the victory and beat Nexus and pretty much bury the whole storyline in a split second. Sigh. Unless Cena helps Orton win and joins Nexus next or something big happens with Nexus and Miz etc, WWE just dropped the ball bigtime. Not really surprising. WTG Vince! Wait, they already had the Orton match. NM, Vince is a moron. And Creative needs to get powerbombed.
