Amazing that some fans actually swear that there is going to be an Undertaker vs. Sting match this year at Wrestlemania 27 in Atlanta. I would be shocked if that occurred but at the same time everyone has the right to fantasize about dream matches that they personally want to see. I still say that there would likely be a large part of the WWE TV audience that only watches WWE that would have to become familiar with the Stinger’s body of work. Not that it couldn’t be done, it could, but that matter would have to be addressed.

Cutting to the chase, I don’t see Sting in WWE any time soon and especially not in the ring vs. the Undertaker in the Georgia Dome. I do think that Sting would be well served to explore potential marketing opportunities with WWE especially considering that all his ‘greatest hits’ which were in WCW are now owned by WWE.

This is from J.R.'s blog. He knows what he's talking about 99% of the time, so I would give him credit for this. I never believed in this Sting thing from the beginning anyway, so... And a match between Taker and Sting...why?!? If I were to dream about an opponent for Taker it would be either Austin or The Rock, but not Sting. The guy was cool in his WCW days, now I don't really care about him. Forgot he's even in the business anymore.

A little off-topic, here's my dream for this year: get the ****ing Macho Man into HOF!!!!!

Numerous sources within TNA Wrestling believe that Steve "Sting" Borden is very close to reaching a new deal with the organization. He's been negotiating with Dixie Carter for the last two weeks. :(

His profile was removed from the company website last night while they negotiate a new deal.

As of the middle of last week, WWE officials had not contacted Borden regarding an appearance at WrestleMania XXVII. This story is being WAY overblown by many. It's hard to convince people otherwise as well but it is what it is. As of now, The Undertaker is set to return on 2/21/11. They need him back prior to WrestleMania and this is their storyline angle to do so. It's that simple and there is honestly nothing more to it guys. Believe what you will.

MIAMI TO HOST WRESTLEMANIA XXVIII

February 9, 2011

MIAMI – The Miami-Dade Sports Commission, Miami-Dade County, Miami Dolphins, Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, and WWE announced Wednesday that Sun Life Stadium, home of the Dolphins and other world-class events, will host WWE’s annual pop culture extravaganza, WrestleMania XXVIII, on Sunday, April 1, 2012.

The announcement was made Wednesday at a press conference at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Miami-Dade County Commissioner and Chairman of the Miami-Dade Sports Commission Jose “Pepe” Diaz, Miami-Dade Sports Commission Executive Director Mike Sophia, Miami Dolphins CEO Mike Dee, former Dolphins Quarterback and NFL Hall of Famer Dan Marino, and Miami Dolphins limited partner and Grammy Award Winner Emilio Estefan, joined WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon and WWE’s Senior Vice President of Special Events John Saboor in making the announcement. WWE Superstars John Cena, The Miz, Mark Henry and Alberto Del Rio, and WWE Diva Eve were also on hand for the announcement.

“Miami has always been the home of first class events, and this event will add to that legacy,” said Jose “Pepe” Diaz, Miami-Dade County Commissioner and Chairman of the Miami-Dade Sports Commission. “Hosting WrestleMania is a huge coup for Miami.”

“On behalf of WWE, I would like to thank Commissioner Diaz and all his colleagues for their support, and the Miami-Dade Sports Commission for graciously rolling out the red carpet to bring WrestleMania to one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities,” said Vince McMahon, WWE Chairman and CEO. “We look forward to adding WrestleMania to the list of prestigious events held at Sun Life Stadium.”

“For nearly 25 years, Sun Life Stadium has played host to South Florida’s world class events that provide economic benefit to the entire community,” said Dolphins CEO Mike Dee. “We applaud the efforts of Commissioner Diaz and the Sports Commission on attracting WWE, and look forward to an unforgettable WrestleMania in 2012.”

WrestleMania is not just a one-day event; it’s a week-long celebration, as visitors from around the world are expected to converge on Miami for WrestleMania Week. Activities will include the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, WrestleMania Axxess, the finals of the WrestleMania Reading Challenge and a Celebrity Pro-Am Golf Tournament. The pay-per-view event will be televised to more than 100 countries.

Over the past three years, WrestleMania and the events surrounding it has generated nearly $150 million in cumulative economic impact for the host cities. Last year, 72,219 fans from all 50 states and 26 countries converged on the University of Phoenix Stadium for WrestleMania XXVI.

I don't believe we will ever see WrestleMania in the UK. I mean how long has it been since the last UK PPV? Wasn't it SummerSlam at the old Wembley Stadium when Undertaker fought the fake Undertaker in 1990 summat? The would need to hold some regular PPVs in the UK before they can host 'the grand daddy of them all' in the UK or any other country for that matter.

No, we used to have an annual PPV in the UK called "Insurrextion". But that only ran from 2000 to 2003.

After speaking with several sources, I can now confirm the plans for The Undertaker at WrestleMania 27 in Atlanta.

The plan is for it to be The Undertaker versus Triple H. The match will be billed with the stipulation of ?Streak vs Career.? The stipulation will play off of the career ending match at WrestleMania 26 match between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. I have learned that the feud and match between The Undertaker and Triple H is all but official and should be revealed on WWE programming very soon.

So is this good or is this bad?

I admit, I loved the speculation and was a speculator for the possibility of the fantasy match between Sting and The Undertaker. When I watched the first 2-21-11 promo from inside the Dunkin Donuts center in Providence, the first thing I thought was ?Has WWE done it? Did they get Sting for WrestleMania?? It seems as if they haven't.

Now I know if you were a good loyal viewer of mine, you may have seen on this weeks part 1 of the Chair Shot Reality, I question if the 2-21 promo is absolutely the return of The Undertaker. Well, the world of television/video, stuff is pre-recorded. At the time of filming I believed what I said on the show. Now after learning what I have learned, without a doubt it seems 2-21 is going to involved the deadman.

If The Undertaker doesn't have Sting or the other intriguing match that would be a major draw in John Cena, than Triple H is the way to go. Returning after nearly a year to avenge the career ending match that retired his best friend.

How does it end? The streak can't be ended can it? I don't think so. Triple H has accomplished everything there is to accomplish as a wrestler. It has been no secret that he hasn't much more involved in the other side of things. He is being more involved in the behind the scenes aspect of things and hat he along with his wife Stephanie will be running the ship whenever Vince McMahon is no longer doing it. So I would have to think that WrestleMania 27 from an active wrestler stand point, its game over. Done playing the game, now its time to run the game.

It should be interesting to see play out. I will certainly be watching RAW this week so I can smell what Mr. McMahon is cooking when it comes to the WrestleMania guest host.

In what may be the very first clue of post-Vince McMahon World Wrestling Entertainment, HHH is pushing hard behind the scenes for what a key insider described to WrestleZone as "a major overhaul" to the developmental system.

"It's no secret within WWE that HHH feels the developmental system is a joke," our inside source told us this evening, "and the Florida developmental area looks to be a runaway train."

Our source tells us that HHH has pitched directly to Vince McMahon that Jim Ross be utilized in a recruiting capacity, while HHH would oversee more of what Talent Relations Executive John Laurinaitis does on a daily basis in terms of checking up on the system.

We'll keep you updated on this developing story as more information becomes available.

Yes, also, it wasn't an "official" PPV on the PPV calendar. Hence why titles never changed for fear of confusing the American viewers! :p
